Claire and Clare wash my car at the Wild Roses car wash. Cornell's women's ultiimate frisbee team was raising funds to be able to attend the Nationals in Corvallis! Congrats to the Wild Roses for making it this far... and good luck to them this weekend!
So Wild Bunch Francie repro is one of my holy grail dolls just because the lack of loose dolls on the market and also I don’t think people actually bought many in her initial release in the 90s so she’s rare-ish lol.
She’s a 1997 remake of the 1967 version of Francie that was meant to be Mattel’s first attempt at adding diversity to Barbie’s line but between the idea that Barbie had a black cousin and the fact “Colored” Francie was just a recolour of a white character seems to have turned off many of her potential market and makes her super duper rare on the secondary market.
I’ve wanted one for awhile now but ofc between the original being super rare and the repro just being slightly less so I’ve avoided getting one.
But one of my very good friends revolution-valonia-mk-3 offered to buy one of the dolls on my wishlist, and turns out there was a relatively affordable one from Japan with decent shipping so it’s nice things aligned the way they did lol.
I was hemming and hawing about leaving her in box but it’s obvious this box suffered through many Japanese summers since the elastic tie holding her camera to the packaging melted off and the box has a lot of damage to it.
Funny enough her 1997 price tag is actually MORE expensive than what I paid for her in 2015 dollars.
My biggest disappointment is the melted elastic in her hair but I’m going to see if I’ll actually bond with her or if I get the itchy fingers to customize the heck out of her.
it has taken some time for me to put up new pictures. i have been out of town for a little bit and of course my camera came along. i hope that you like the picture of some of the nature that was surrounding me. have a great week!
Wild Horse Sculpture - A sculpture of 15 wild horses has crowned a barren Central Washington hillside for more than a decade, but the rusted sheets of steel still are an inspiring sight to travelers along busy Interstate 90.
The 200-foot line of life-size charging horses, the creation of David Govedare of Chewelah, Wash., captures a mystical spirit from a time when real wild horses roamed the steppes.
Titled "Grandfather Cuts Loose the Ponies," the scene symbolically re-creates the Great Spirit turning loose a herd of wild horses above the Columbia River's Wanapum Lake.
The artwork can be seen from viewpoints along I-90, about two miles east of the Vantage Bridge over the Columbia River. The eastbound off-ramp has a rough path that leads a quarter mile to the wild-horse monument. (OregonLive.com)
Wild Ginger (Asarum caudatum) has one of the most exotic-looking flower forms of any Pacific Northwest native plant. The inflorescence is easy to miss. The heart-shaped, paired leaves rise on hairy stems and often form dense mats which effectively conceal flowers whose calices (singular: calyx) terminate in long, thready extensions. This moisture lover can be found along streambanks in the lowland forest, but may also occur at higher elevations and in soil which is seasonally damp. This specimen was observed near Tahoma Creek.

Ramsons aka Wild garlic.
Whilst the foliage is very dense, the flowers seem (at the moment) less dense than usual. Last year like covered in snow !
2025 has been Drier winter as to last year wet winter ?
I could not see any more new buds forming.
Ashford Hangers, near Petersfield, Hampshire.
The most extensive hangers in UK.
National nature Reserve. Special Conservation (SCA).
Unique and rare lichen, rare flora.
Hanger is a wooded steep side of hill;
There were almost too many clouds. The weather was pretty bad, it was drizzling (it did for the rest of the day), temperature was plummeting (around freezing) and thick fogs reduced visibility to a few feet.
I took my chances with the sunrise. This is the iconic scene of the Wild Goose Island with towering mountains on all sides, cowering in the vastness of St. Mary Lake.
The wild flowers are starting to bloom in full force...

Wild boar is a close relative of domestic pig. There are four subspecies of wild boar that are similar in size and appearance, but differ in color (which depends on the type of habitat). Native populations of wild boars can be found in Africa, Europe and Asia (Japan, Indonesia, India and the Far East). Wild boars can survive in different types of habitat: grasslands, taiga, tropical rainforests, but they prefer life in deciduous forests. Wild boars are threatened by habitat loss and by commercial hunt. Luckily, wild populations are still stable and they are not listed as endangered species.
Someday I need to find out what the name of these really are. I have a difficult time believing the name is really Wild Sunflower.
