Battling on into 2015, former Airlink 747 branded AV 123, along with sisters AV128 & 130 continue in service at Summerhill Garage despite the rest of the batch having been withdrawn in 2014.

Still with its " WiFi " stickers & indeed connection to the www, this Summerhill batch was initially trialled with the service before being rolled out on the fleet.

AV 115-128 were originally delivered to Dublin Bus in Airlink livery & spec for the busy express premium service from Dublin Airport to the City, featuring extra luggage racking, centre doors & bonded glazed windows.

AV 123 was withdrawn from service on 7th August 2015 following the arrival of new SG class Volvo B5's to Summerhill, AV 128 & 130 to follow no doubt.

You may not notice at first, but there are many people sitting in cafés

and bars whiling away time on their laptop computers. Tartu has an

amazing number of places where people with a WiFi (wireless Fidelity)

can surf the internet for free. In fact, the whole Town Hall Square is a

Wifi zone.

ported the tweetawatt xbee datacollection and reporting code to wifi router. with a 16m usb key i had enough space for python and some libraries so it was a 1-day-hack!i

tried to clean up the background. then gave up.

now i dont need to keep a computer on to do the data logging, its all done in the background by my wifi router. power usage is now 5W and has 'paid for itself'. i hope all routers come with zigbee soon, would be great for data collection & home automation. thanks asus!

This map shows wifi access point data logged by my wifi sniffer and GPS device. It uses a custom tileserver to provide an additional data layer to the Google map. "Hotter" spots on the map correspond to more open access points in that area.

This is still a work in progress, and consists only of about 3 days worth of data.

This week long 24-hour protest has been taking place in a plaza in the old section of Bilbao. Each day they put up signs asking for people to bring supplies -- food, blankets, etc. Today, they're asking for WiFi routers.

An in-person protest organized over the Internet now asks for technical telecommunications support to maintain Internet access at the site of the protest.

Yet another shot of the unskinned WiFi antenna, this time standing up. It's pointing away from us. The open area towards us will be covered with paper, and then aluminum foil.

Here's a photo of the unskinned antenna with all of the ribs in place. It looks like a dome at this point because the dish is pointing straight into the table.
