Thanks to the lovely Peter Morville and Jeff Callender, I'm turning the UX People stencils (originally from the butterfly book) into as an Axure Widget Library.
This should help the dynamic prototyping folk who can't take advantage of the existing OmniGraffle stencils, awesome as they are.
Update: Now available for download.

I had the joy of doing one of the easiest uh... Apple to Apple comparisons between OS X and Windows 7. Widgets versus Gadgets.
Despite the denials of PC Fanboys, Gadgets is one of those things where it is obvious that Microsoft is copying Apple. Of course, any fanboy will quickly point out that Apple's Widgets were actually a copy of Konfabulator and yes, this is true, but the difference here is that Microsoft didn't just copy the idea of Widgets, they copied the Widgets themselves, which is why Windows 7 (and Vista before it) has a Stock, Clock, Calendar, Weather and Media Center Gadget. Windows 7 even has a Tile Game Gadget like OS X.
Okay, but I digress. Which is actually better? Well, that is hard to quantify. It really depends on what type of person you are. Gadgets seem to have more options, like 8 different visual styles for the clock. Widgets have less options, but that also makes it easier to manage the information. The main purpose of Widgets was to give users a quick, easy access to information, so complicating the experience really defeats the purpose.
I found the Windows Stock Gadget to be confusing for this very reason. And the Gadgets in Windows are always present on the desktop, even when you use the new "Show Desktop" function in Windows 7. The OS X widgets are hidden by the Dashboard icon in the dock. Click on it and it reveals all your Widgets with a smooth animation. Click on it again and they're gone.
The Widgets management system on OS X is also pretty cool. All your Widgets pop up in a scrolling bar at the bottom on the screen, as you can see in the pic above. The Gadgets Manager has its own little window, which adds to the clutter. Gadgets also have an annoying "lock to grid" behavior when you move them around.
Windows 7 comes with a default of 10 gadgets; OS X comes with 20 widgets.
In addition to the default apps already mentioned, OS X offers a Calculator, Dictionary, Language Translator, Flight Tracker, Address Book, Unit Converter, Ski Report Widget, a Movie Widget, an ESPN Widget, a Stickies Widget and a People, Business and Google Search Widget.
Windows Gadgets comes with only four Gadgets that OS X doesn't have (to OS X's 13) and that's a Currency Converter, CPU Speed Gadget, RSS Feed Gadget and a Slide Show Gadget (which is worthless). Of course, this probably doesn't matter either way. There are 4131 Widgets available for OS X and 3471 Gadgets available for Windows. I'm pretty sure you can find most of the same stuff for both systems.
Of course, OS X comes with one Widget function that puts it over the top: Web Clips.
Windows Gadgets does not have a Web Clip function as far I know. And what is a Web Clip? The Web Clip function allows you to designate a section of any web page, usually something that gets updated constantly, and create a Widget from it. For example, above I have a Widget made from the popular topics pane on Digg.
So the Web Clip function puts Widgets over the top. Another point for OS X.

The Chummery was a place for friends ("chums") to gather – a joint venture between a coffee shop and an ice cream store (a sort of café-gelateria-deli).
With two existing entities combining to create a third, Widgets & Stone thought the visual identity and signage should work the same way: we used overprinting of wood types of coffees and ice creams to create a new visual.
Letterpress printing combined with laser overprints and labels to create signs for the store, drive thru and tags.
