Originally captured for a piece I was writing on Dashflix for Film Buff Stuff. I've been so busy I haven't finished the entry but hey, now you can see my dashboard. Whee.
The weather widget of the Yahoo Widget Engine tells me it is freezing. I know. I was just outside plugging in the heater of the car engine.
After spending a few days with Widget, I've come to realize that she doesn't talk. I don't think she's mute because she sings her heart out whenever she's in the bath or playing by herself but she hasn't said a word. Don't worry...it's not a sad thing:) This little one is full of energy, happiness, hugs, and giggles. We all seem to understand her somehow and she seems to be getting whatever she wants and needs. I don't know if it's because we understand her or because she's so ADORABLE but she gets her point across.
Devon, Sofie, and her seem to be the closest to eachother right now. They are like the 3 Musketeers. Among the older girls, Widget spends time with her bigger sister Reagan, who's been like a little mommy to her. Reagan takes her everywhere and when Widget starts leaping off of things in attempts to fly, Reagan is the one that seems to calm her down and find something for her to do. It's nice to see how all my littles interact with eachother:) I Love them all!

The screen loads with a few default widgets already running, with a library of a few more available via this menu system. I checked most of them out; they're described in the next screen.
The most obvious missing functionality, which I was hoping would be in a widget somewhere, was "Share with friends". How do you send your Joost-using friends a link to a program you like, or a particularly good bit of a TV show you're watching? This seems like it would be a killer feature, and it's nowhere to be seen -- they website says they are working on more social features though, so maybe it's "coming soon".

/// On St Patrick's Weekend I went on a Road trip to Mojave Desert and the Big Sur coast (Photo Set, route). This photo was taken in the Panamint Valley, which is beside the Death Valley.
