This is one of the nicest parks I've seen in New York, and I just discovered it after 7 years living here :)

View South - West from the Bronx looking towards the Whitestone Bridge and New York City in the distance at sunset. Thank you Chetan for all your assistance with this shot. My right arm is still paralyzed and I have ongoing hip issues after the last hip surgery so shooting by myself is impossible now.

It's a cloudy, foggy on the Upper East Side of New York City. The soccer and baseball fields on Randall's Island are lit up for spring.

In the rain, almost dark, hence the digital noise. Learning how to edit with FCPX. Nothing preplanned, just checking the location. Spent all of five minutes at this location.

One more item checked. After looking at some nice photos of this bridge, we decided to head there for a sunrise shootout. The sky sans clouds is kind of boring but that pink gradient saved this picture from hitting a recycle bin.

Bronx-Whitestone Bridge simply known as Whitestone Bridge is suspension bridge on East River connecting Queens and the Bronx.

Bridgepixing the Bronx Whitestone Bridge (aka Whitestone Bridge) over the East River linking Queens and the Bronx. This suspension bridge was designed by Othnar Ammann and opened in 1939 for the New York World's Fair in nearby Flushing Meadows. Additional Bridge Photos and a Bridge Blog at www.Bridgepix.com.

The Throgs Neck Bridge from Bayside , NY. This Bridge connects the borough of Queens to the Bronx . I was also able to capture the Whitestone Bridge which also connects Queens - the Bronx and the George Washington Bridge which connects Manhattan NYC, New York State to Fort Lee, New Jersey.

This is another bridge that we flew over before landing at La Guardia on a late August morning. It is the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, more commonly known simply as the Whitestone Bridge, which, like the Thogs Neck Bridge in the previous photograph, also spans the East River separating Queen's on Long Island (far side) from the Bronx (near side). It is several years older than the Thogs Neck Bridge (1939 vs 1961). The Whitestone is a toll bridge – see the toll plaza at bottom right – that carries Interstate 678, one of the main access roads to La Guardia Airport.
