Dandelions have always been a flower that was more interesting when it went to seed.
I think it is so unappreciated until one gets close and truly looks at the flower.
I had some fun over a few days and really enjoyed catching the Dandelion Seeds in various light and conditions.
Some see a field of Dandelions as 100's of weeds.
I see Dandelions as Thousands of Wishes.
I was quite taken by the miniature size of this whisk. Whisking two eggs with it could turn out to be a big task.

Managed to get a whisp of mist to create a soft backdrop to the sky reflections in the water giving it a surreal look.
A nice Full moon with just a bit of cloud floating by. Taken just after dusk.

on yet another grey, foggy day over Vancouver. The sun broke through for only a brief moment. It was much appreciated
I went for an evening walk up St Martha's Mount in the surrey hills a couple of weeks ago, looking for future compositions. On my way back down as dusk was taking hold, the moon rose above St Marthas with the last whisps of pink in the cloud above. While not my usual kind of thing I couldnt resist taking the camera out and capturing the scene!

In the twilight of the forest, the snowy owl takes its place on the forest floor. With half-closed eyes, it listens to the whispers of nature - the rustling of the leaves tells of hidden creatures, while distant calls tell stories of life beyond the visible. This guardian of the night stands motionless, a ghostly figure against the darkness of the world, embodying both beauty and myster

BR Standard Tank 80080 arrived at the North Norfolk Railway last week to begin a five year stay the line, and has been straight into action this bank holiday weekend. Steam locomotives facing Sheringham are unusual, and so whenever one is running it opens up different shots - though I have done this one a few times with diesels. The 1750 service from Holt to Sheringham approaches windpump crossing on Kelling Heath, whisps of steam out of the chimney with the temperature warm but a breeze keeping things getting too hot.
Perfect timing for this cloud to whisp by this December Supermoon lol. It was a little too cold to hang out for long outside last night.

This was taken for the cover of South Magazine". This is a composite photo, and I have shown the final cover, as well as composite items below.
Composite from 5 photos. Originally, I had her actually wearing the wings. They were top-heavy and sagging, so I ended up taking them off of her and shooting them separate for compositing. This was the only way I could get them big and strong in the photo. The cloud photo was taken on a recent trip to LA, it's amazing what a window seat will give you! The other two composited photos were the paint drips. I am not including those in this post, shouldn't be hard to figure that one out. Additional whisps of clouds were added in CS3 with a custom "smoke" brush.

Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn Bhe 4/6 Polaris multiple unit Nr. 3092 leads another Polaris waiting at Gornergrat Bahnhof under a bright blue winter sky. The castellated stone tower of the station building is immediately behind the train, and tourists and skiers mill behind the automated ticket barriers. The Matterhorn is clearly visible in the distance on the left with the only whisp of cloud just clinging to and appearing to stream from its peak.
Delivery of the Polaris trains started in 2022. Built by Stadler and styled by Pininfarina, they are chocolate brown with black trim around the windows and silver pin striping. They have a surprisingly curved front.

The milky sky has made all colors vibrant today. Also, a whisp of snow has accentuated the details of the forest floor.
I rather liked it.
Not a very spectacular photo, I'm afraid, but, nevertheless, a very typical one for our region, the karst landscape of the Swabian Alps.
As the sun rose it created thin whispy streaks of mist as it began the task of drying the rain soaked desert.

What a morning! I was expecting a white out as I drove up to Wittenham Clumps this morning, but the clouds started to part enough for the rising sun to add some colour to the sky, whilst the mist slowly crept across the land. Stood looking across to Barrow Hill, I was transfixed by the serene quiet and the gently moving whisps of mist.

Blue-winged Teal (male), Wildwood Lake, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Title from the poem Blue Wings by George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans).
Warm whisp'ring through the slender olive leaves
Came to me a gentle sound,
Whis'pring of a secret found
In the clear sunshine 'mid the golden sheaves:
Said it was sleeping for me in the morn,
Called it gladness, called it joy,
Drew me on 'Come hither, boy.'
To where the blue wings rested on the corn.
I thought the gentle sound had whispered true
Thought the little heaven mine,
Leaned to clutch the thing divine,
And saw the blue wings melt within the blue!
The water flowing down the rocks of Jacobs Falls makes a rush of texture. The cascading whisps dangle like ribbons in the wind.
Near fish creek wash in Anza Borrego desert state park. A nearly full moon provides plenty of light to illuminate the landscape. A whisp of the milky way is barely visible on the far left side.

Coming back over from Wensleydale this afternoon we saw a perfect inversion forming in the lower reaches of both Wensleydale and Swaledale - so continued straight on through Richmond to Willances Leap to try to get a shot up the valley, above the fog. By the time we arrived though, the cloud had lifted and was whisping across the dark moorland - so I decided to focus my efforts on this rather shapely tree as the light faded.
I have to start off by saying this really is straight out of camera. This is the best sunset I think I've ever seen or near as damnit. This happened on our way back to the hostel after leaving Chateau Noisy behind just over an hour beforehand. On our way to the chateau the skies were grey but still very dramatic with very dark clouds mixed with lighter threads and whisps and I hopefully said to Darren that we may get a decent sky as a backdrop for the Noisy exterior. Sadly when it came time to do the exterior there was a blanket of flat grey. It was only once we left and drove away that a heavy storm on the horizon mixed with this impressive sunset to taunt us with what would have made the Noisy exterior shot of doom!
Bloody weather!
