Each of us has his own Alice, curious and fearless, ready for new adventures and new discoveries!
But when we get older, Alice becomes smaller, there are fears, insecurities!
But in dreams and through dreams we still are drawn to adventure and achievements, and it helps us to realize the dream into reality!
But even if we sometimes feel lost because of the fact that everything around us is changing and sometimes too fast, Alice somewhere inside and always with us!
This is my current thinking, such was the mood today and I wanted to somehow translate it! Maybe it was she ...

"When cats take over the world
Everyone will be kind
You could jump on the counter
And eat whatever you find
You could cough off a hairball
And no one will mind
Maybe we’ll all purr
When cats take over the world"
I invite all my friends to see this video of a brazilian NGO for stray cats. The images are lovely and the music, "When Cats Take Over The World", by a folk singer named Jamie Anderson, is the ultimate anthem for kitties. Enjoy!
Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fibre that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaceae.
The fibre is almost pure cellulose. Under natural conditions, the cotton bolls will increase the dispersal of the seeds.
Within 80–100 days after planting, the plant develops white blossoms, which change to a reddish colour.
The fertilised blossoms fall off after a few days and are replaced by small green triangular pods, called bolls, that mature after a period of 55–80 days.
During this period the seeds and their attached hairs develop within the boll, which increases considerably in size.
The seed hair, or cotton fibre, reaching a maximum length of about 6 cm (2.5 inches) in long-fibre varieties, is known as lint.
When ripe, the boll bursts into a white, fluffy ball...
Have a great day and thank you for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened ~~ John M. Richardson, Jr
Explore! yay. i am always excited for that :D

The lamest of the lame "bench Monday" shot. Although did you hear the lame is *in*? I am not saying it is definitely in. At this point it is just a rumor. But I saw this bench yesterday and no one was around to think I am nuts. So I got on it and took a shot. With an iPhone. HBM everyone!
có thể vì khoảng cách quá xa khiến bạn nản lòng trong tình yêu nhưng biết đâu được ở nơi xa đó lại là tình yêu đích thực của đời bạn :)
Night, the beloved. Night, when words fade and things come alive.
When the destructive analysis of day is done, and all that is truly important becomes whole and sound again.
When man reassembles his fragmentary self and grows with the calm of a tree.

Not much to add to this, except maybe, why Saint Exupéry TODAY (tonight) and here!?!
EVERYBODY must know the book LE PETIT PRINCE... if you don't; let me know and I'll organise the library bus to bring you a copy!!!
I have read and re-read this little booklet in German, French, English and most likely even in Italian - it's easy to understand and it contains 'stuff' to re-think for ages.... it's subtly bringing facts of life to the point and it is so lovingly written that you can't hold anything against the writer - even if you sometimes might want to! It is - in short - probably the most lovable book anybody can find.
After having bought copies of a very beautiful CD, read by Will Quadflieg (in German) for my nearly blind mother, my little sister and the children of my bros-in-law, I got a copy of my gift sent back to me by little sis..... and after a very long time I have inserted it in the car CD player, where I listen to it on my way to .... somewhere! It made me aware once again how absolutely wonderful this aviator and writer is expressing himself in his work.
These four-leaf-clovers are my latest pride and joy. The make lovely red flowers and if you care to stroll down in the comments, you'll find more close-up shots of those little darlings. I wish all of you who still live through Thursday, A HAPPY GORGEOUS GREEN THURSDAY and to the rest of us a BEAUTIFUL GREEN FRIDAY!
For the shutter sisters: Hello..... (sunshine, morning, night, happiness, smiles!)

Most wonderful days when Airabelle flies, because the winds are bellow 12 MPH, that means, the balloons don't move as fast around Fiesta Park, the other point is compare the size of the balloon as compared to the people around Her ! as well in 2007 Event week there weren't as many specials shapes back then, this was a Wednesday, the special shapes day now days is Thursday & Friday, I have also recorded that this year I managed to acquire 1000 photographs, for that week ! as well didn't have any rejections. this is also the day that Airabelle was Hit by another ascending Balloon However She was examined and participated in the Glow show in the evening !
It was 85 degrees in October!

When I set out from Los Angeles to shoot what was left of fall color in the eastern sierra, I really had no idea I'd end up in Yosemite before the weekend was done!
After waking up to sunny, cloudless skies in Mammoth, I shot what I could of the low morning light, then stopped in for breakfast at the Whoa Nellie Deli. With sufficient food and caffeine in my system, I set back out again. I pulled to the exit at the Mobil Station, and looked at the two arrows. One pointed right, back to Highway 395, and the other pointed left--the way up Tioga Pass. I paused for a moment to consider my options--and ended up here. :)

I never miss an opportunity to look "up" . . .
especially when my patience is being tested
or just for "so" . . .
So . . . here you go . . .
Not what one would technically call

How COOL, don't you think?
Aim for the sky and you'll reach the ceiling.
Aim for the ceiling and you'll stay on the floor.

When I was a child Oystercatchers were mainly a bird of the coast. Then they colonised river shingles and moved inland, then they spread out into the meadows and moorland. Even in the last few years I have noticed increasing numbers in the Peak District and Pennines. This one was nesting next to a moorland reservoir in the Peak District. The name Oystercatcher is a bit of a misnomer as they feed mainly on Cockles, Mussels and worms. But the name was first applied to the American Oystercatcher (by M Catesby in 1731), which does apparently eat oysters. The name then caught on in Britain and Linnaeus (1758) named it ostralegus which means oyster-eating. Speaking of misnomers it is in the genus Haematopus which means blood-footed, yet its legs and feet are pink.
It's been a full and interesting week of work, today will be the 5th photo-shoot of the week, and each one a very different subject. Back on Tuesday i did a location shoot with the band "When Prophecy Fails"
Had a great time shooting with these guys, if you do facebook, head over to www.facebook.com/WhenProphecyFails?fref=ts and give them a LIKE.
Shot a lot of different styles, not sure yet which one they will choose as the cover for their new EP, you can see all the choices (around 150 shots) in the 'galleries' section of my website.
Might try and set up a little facebook vote for it this evening, if anyone has done something like that before and has any tips?

When I lived in Colorado, the porcupines seemed to be about the size of a basketball. Here in Alaska, they are more the size of a medicine ball.
This buy was busy eating willow buds along side the park road.
When i saw this red hibiscus, i made a shot pointing my focus at a different angle to choose a different background. Automatically, i turned off my exposure compensation by a minus 1.8 which i always do for reds. Thanks to those who view, comment and fave my photo. It will be highly appreciated.

When in danger, when in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout!
This rhyme is one I've heard since I was young. I found one source for it: "Anonymous U.S. Infantry saying," ca. 1929.

G M Buses North 503 (M503 PNA) when nearly new, demonstrating the multitude of branding carried to proudly advertise all the innovative features of the time. Note the "Low Floor" legend, which had to be changed a few months later to the more prosaic "Floor Line" when it was twigged that the Volvo B10B, although possessing a creditable shallow entrance step arrangement, was definitely not low floor in the spirit of step-free wheelchair and baby buggy access.

A fairly abstract depth of field exercise....
This photo's title dates from my 2012 photo-a-day effort, where it was a recurring theme. We had a more impressive trellis back then.
Actually, we've still got that trellis, but it's in pieces and leaning against the garage because a wind storm took it apart some years back. My year-ago excursion through our yard included two pics of that one, by the way, and two of a third that used to support a (failed) rose garden.
What I posted, though, was a view across the street, taken from our yard. It's a decidedly wintery photo (I called it "January") and several of our neighbors' yards are represented. As things turned out, versions of that photo were my "if all else fails" shot last year.
==========
For much of last year, my monthly routine went like this:
* For the first week of the month, I'd set the camera up as fully manual.
* For the second week of the month, I'd set the camera up as Aperture Priority but with manual focus.
* For the third week I'd reverse that--autofocus, but exposure controlled manually.
* For the rest of the month the camera'd be set up with autofocus turned on and (usually) Aperture Priority.
The objective was to force myself to think about these things. I like to think it was a learning experience.
This only worked with the Olympus, by the way. My Nikon 1 doesn't support manual focus in any useful sense, but I've long routinely operated its exposure controls manually.

Another picture from the time when the Arriva Cymru fleet still contained Mercs - a vehicle that was new to Bee Line in Manchester and kept its fleetnumber under Arriva ownership, Mercedes 811D / Plaxton Beaver 182 - P182 GND later transferred to Llandudno Junction depot with a few of its sisters. It is pictured here in the layby at Llandudno Junction awaiting a driver changeover while on route 73 from Llandudno. This one carried a non-standard cream radiator and was easily distinguished from its sisters. I believe this was sold to an operator in the North West and thus went back to where it came from!
and all the gray is gone, everytime I see you smile. What i'd do to make you see who you are to me.
Say hello to my lovely best friend and incredible sister Hannah. This was taken on the way home from camp tonight and after she shared some heavy things that had been on her heart..
I am so honored I am to be a part of her life. She chooses to stay faithful and strong through hardships no one should ever have to face. Her heart is hands down the most beautiful I've ever gotten to know and she sets an example for me daily. God was thinking of our family when he made her.

When I started photographing cars for Askja, the dealership for Mercedes-Benz, more than 4 years ago I was soon asked to photograph the new Mercedes-Benz GLE. I totally fell for it and now, more than 4 years later, my dream has come true. I absolutely love this beauty.

When I take & work on photos I often think of music. I had photographed the tree above this when it was filled with these beautiful leaves. but after two days of rain most of the leaves had fallen. This made me think of the beautiful Coltrane ballad After the Rain.
Ive learned I cant change everything.
I cant change my eye color, my age, my height, and I also cant easily change my weight. Yes im skinny, I know. Thanks for noticing…
Yes those are my bones.
They’re very apparent.
Its hard for me to love myself and love the things im not happy with, but im this way for a reason. Im unique and im my own person.
Recently ive grown to love being who I am, because its not worth the time hating the things I do. Ive tried to gain weight and it just aint happenin for me, but that’s okay. Im not skinny for unhealthy reasons and I eat a crapload, ask anyone.
But I like who I am and im proud of who ive grown to be.
So I will let myself be who I am…
This was really hard for me to put up cause when I look at it it still grosses me out, but that’s okay… ill let it cause it might help someone overcome something they hate, that they have no control over. Y’all know that this is one of my most personal issues, my weight.. so please don’t take advantage of me expressing this with you. Please don’t criticize me for putting it up or for being able to see my bones, if you like it, don’t comment.
Thank you.
