When I look into your eyes

It's like watching the night sky

Or a beautiful sunrise

Well there's so much they hold

And just like them old stars

I see that you've come so far

To be right where you are

How old is your soul?

I won't give up on us

Even if the skies get rough

I'm giving you all my love

I'm still looking up

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily

I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make

A thrill he hasn't felt in ages courses through Dev! A lesser being is lurking nearby! He knows he should inform the city's Commander and put the city on red alert, but he is blinded to his duty by the opportunity to finally kill again!

After so many years it is an opportunity he does not plan on letting slip by!

When he defeats this invader, he will have proved his worth to the Emperor - surely he wouldn't leave behind for the second time the Dalek responsible for saving the city ?

“When from our better selves we have too long been parted by the hurrying world, and droop. Sick of its business, of its pleasures tired, how gracious, how benign is solitude.”

When it rains outside, the kitties get adorned. He was much more pleasant about it than usual.

Yesterday was a great example of why I always keep a camera in my car. I was doing the normal, simple task of going to the grocery store when I noticed that the sky was amazing.

"They've promised that dreams can come true - but they forgot to mention that nightmares are dreams too." - Oscar Wilde

I could hear the yells and shouts of joy and laughter far below, as the children skated on the frozen lake, watched anxiously by worried parents...as Mother Nature slept.

When the night falls

Paura!

........

And can't seem to raise your head.

You sit staring in the teacup

At the egg upon your bread

And the life that you are living

Doesn't seem to be quite real

You have only what the lonely call the blues......

When the person who taught you what the ‘golden hour’ is, stands, at the end of the golden hour, on the southernmost tip of inhabited Canadian land, trying to get the photo.

When you look at this I hope it will bring back good memories 👋😄

When I used to go out every day to photograph hummingbirds, I'd head off to the gardens at Heather Farm Preserve, and it's there that in between shots, I spotted my second Flower Crab Spider.

Members of this family of spiders do not spin webs, and are ambush predators. The two front legs are usually longer and more robust than the rest of the legs. The back two legs are smaller, and are usually covered in a series of strong spines. And I saw several that would lie in wait in the middle of some flowers, waiting for hours to pounce on an unsuspecting honey bee. I just happened to be watching this spider as the bee landed, and then I saw him grab hold of the bee in a split second. From what I understand, that bee will last him a week.

The Thomisidae are a family of spiders, including about 170 genera and over 2,100 species. The common name crab spider is often linked to species in this family, but is also applied loosely to many other families of spiders. Many members of this family are also known as flower spiders or flower crab spiders. Just because there are so many species doesn't guarantee success. Remember these spiders a just a quarter of an inch...

"How the little piggies will grunt when they hear how the old boar suffered"- Ragnar Lothbrok.

After the death of the legendary Viking Ragnar Lothbrok at the hands King Aelle of Northumbria, his (alleged) sons would take their revenge. His sons Bjorn Ironside, Sigurd Snake-in-the-eye, Ivar the Boneless, Halfdan Ragnarsson, and Ubba would amass a massive army from across the Scandinavian world. The army would become known as "The Great Heathen Army" in Christain sources. This was not going to be a raid, rather it would be an invasion to permanently settle in England. Scandinavia was overpopulated thanks to the medieval warm period that saw an increase in crop yields. Many second and third sons would also lose out on property inheritance as it would all go to the first son upon their father's death. England presented a new opportunity for these Vikings.

The army would land in East Anglia in 865 and make their way up to Northumbria. The city of York would be sacked in 867 and they would capture King Aelle after wiping out his army. Supposedly, he would be executed by having a "blood eagle" performed on him. After the brothers took their revenge, they would spend the next decade conquering, plundering, and settling in England. The Vikings would be defeated at Ashdown in 871, by King Æthelred of Wessex brother, Alfred. This would stop their advancement into the Southwest of England where the last free Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Wessex ruled. The territory the Vikings conquered that would stretch from northwestern England to the Southeastern part would become known as the "Danelaw" by 878.

The sons of Rangar would go into retirement in either Northern England or Scandinavia as they became wealthier than they could ever imagine. However, the Anglo-Saxons were not going to take these defeats lightly as they would soon initiate a reconquest of England spearheaded by King Alfred "the Great" of Wessex.

When visiting Mono Lake in the Spring, layered clothing is the only way to go. I was having lunch at a local diner where patrons were dressed in everything from flip flops and shorts to parkas and boots, depending on what the weather was when they left their hotels that morning... and whether or not they came prepared. I soon discovered weather forecasts were near useless. A predicted snowfall could dump its load 10 miles away leaving you comfortable in a tank top, or it could catch you shivering in your sandals.

FYI - map insists on saying this photo was taken from Lee Vining Airport. It wasn't. It was taken from a gravel road close to the shores of Mono Lake looking east.

When setting up this shoot I wanted to achieve a otherworldly winter feeling. Using smoke bombs and some post processing techniques I feel like I achieved what I was going for. Hope you enjoy.

Ancient Wings from Aii add a disquieting effect to my Dark Fae look.

Wear them feathered or not with optional Jewelry and Armor. I'm showing them in their most primitive form.

Just after the storm over the Colorado National Monument ended tonight.

When you are living on narrow and busy streets the only way you can keep the road available for vechile movement is by using parallel parking. The same hold good when you are living across narrow canals where you do not have an harbour. Just optmized and looks lovely to photograph as well :)
