Today or tomorrow I will hit 1,000,000 views.
A while ago, I would have been excited, like when I was the 1,000,000th upload to the 365 Day group.
But now I really don't care.
Whatever.
I am so upset over the BP Oil Spill and all those innocent creatures whose ecosystems are being destroyed because of human greed.
I hope and pray the entire world can learn a lesson so something like this never happens again.

One Year Ago Today
I've been seeing alot of my contacts doing these amazing eye pics, starting with Tapper's gorgeous eye shot of Tara so I've been inspired to do one too. I haven't done one in like a year and my last one was with my point and shoot! LOL
I wear colored contacts but this is my natural eye color - whatever you want to call it - Green - yellow - orange - brown. Whatev!
In the early 1960s, construction began on the Oroville Dam. Once the dam was completed, the resulting reservoir flooded the Western Pacific mainline east of Oroville. A new route was created which required civil engineers to use just about every tool in the toolbox. In total, the new route required the construction of five tunnels, three bridges and a horseshoe loop.
Here, a heavy westbound grain train rumbles through the 2,922' Tunnel 5 before crossing over Lake Oroville.

S.O.S by ABBA
Where are those happy days, they seem so hard to find
I try to reach for you but you have closed your mind
Whatever happened to our love? I wish I understood
It used to be so nice, it used to be so good
So when you're near me, darling can't you hear me, S.O.S.
The love you gave me, nothing else can save me, S.O.S.
When you're gone
How can I even try to go on?
When you're gone
Though I try, how can I carry on?
You seemed so far away, though you were standing near
You made me feel alive but something died, I fear
I really tried to make it up, I wish I understood
What happened to our love, it used to be so good
So when you're near me, darling can't you hear me, S.O.S.
The love you gave me, nothing else can save me, S.O.S.
When you're gone
How can I even try to…
An abstract....I want to say seascape? A product of decades of the Surrey climate on a large bronze sculpture on a Portland stone plinth. This blank panel at the back has provided a canvas for the blue-green patination of the copper alloy to run and form this intriguing image.
Back at the start of December I went for a wander up Glen Coe with the intention of doing the photographer thing and climbing Beinn a'Chrulaiste but for some reason I went the other way, up the Devil's Staircase. So here's a picture of Beinn a'Chrulaiste (left) and the Bookil (right) from the top of whatever it is that I got to the top of

After a stormy, rainy, gusty night, this morning a break in the rain saw me running outside with the umbrella. But then, a great gust of wind when I wasn't paying attention, saw the umbrella flying upwards and falling back down onto our flooded back path. It has rained almost continuously for several weeks here. Yikes!
Hey guys!
On this picture you can see my best friend Cordelia, who I usually often take pictures of :)
But the last weeks and months have been so very busy to me (and to her) that there was almost no time for it.
So here are some news:
I´m almost done with grade 12 (tomorrow is the last schoolday), I´m working and partying a lot, one of my pictures was on the subways of Berlin to see (VERY PROUD!), I gave my first interview to "sincerely sarah." (already very excited about the result) and one of my pics is taking part in a movie!!
Can you believe that?
Damn, I can´t! :) wow, right now everything is running so perfectly that it kinda scares me... :)
Have a great day! :)
Whatever The Weather opened in October of 2007 in the idylic Cotswold village of Broadway.
The building is a beautiful thatch cottage dating back to the 17th Century. The period interior lends itself perfectly to display gifts and ideas for the home.
A lack of conditions and imagination eventually brought me to the burn. I’ve taken a number of images from this point in the past so this time for a slightly different perspective I waded into the middle on a nice flat bed of rock, enough for me and my tripod. I took a couple of images and then I decided on this 16:9 to emphasise the width of the burn. Carrying a few thousand pounds of gear into a stream always has me on my toes with the focus of whatever happens I’ll get wet but not the camera. This composition was completed with no drama and decided on a up stream shot. You probably can’t make it out from this image but there is a 2 foot drop in the stream just before the first tree, with a lovely cascade. All I needed to do was make my way along the left hand bank, get under the leaning second tree using the thin ledge and position my tripod just beyond. That thin ledge skirts a sudden drop into a deep pool so it was the crux of my traverse. All was good and I took a few photos. On reversing my manoeuvre just as I passed the tree my foot slipped, of cause my camera was safely on the end of my folded tripod which I was using for balance pole and luckily the pool was only knee deep, but a good few inches over the top of my welly. Once safely on the bank the welly was off and I emptied a couple of pints of burn water back where it belongs. Not cursing any lost or damaged gear I regard this as all part of the fun and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Caught this cool pic awhile back and then found this perfect song to go with it...
Everyday is a new day
I'm thankful for every breath I take
I won't take it for granted ( I won't take it for granted)
So I learn from my mistakes
It's beyond my control sometimes it's best to let go,
whatever happens in this lifetime
So I trust in love ( So I trust in love )
You have given me peace of mind
I, I feel so alive
For the very first time
I can't deny you
I feel so alive
I, I feel so alive ( so alive)
For the very first time (For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
Sunshine upon my face (Sunshine upon my face)
A new song for me to sing
Tell the world how I feel inside
Even though it might cost me everything
Now that I know this is beyond my control
'cause I could never turn my back away
Now that I see you (Now that I see you)
I can never look away
I, I feel so alive
For the very first time
I can't deny you
I feel so alive
I, I feel so alive ( so alive)
For the very first time (For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
Now that I know you
I could never turn my back away
And now that I see you
I could never look away
And now that I know you
I could never turn my back away
And now that I see you
I believe no matter what they say
I, I feel so alive
For the very first time
I can't deny you
I feel so alive
I, I feel so alive(so alive)
For the very first time(For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
I, I feel so alive (so alive)
For the very first time(For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
I, I feel so alive ( so alive)
For the very first time(For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
And I think I can fly
And I think I can fly

If this looks a little dark and moody it is what it is because it was. Caught out in the rain and having nothing of any real interest to point my lens at I headed to the nearest shelter or rather spot of jungle with enough foliage to give me a bit of cover if only for a while.
Technically a bit of a mess whilst attempting to stitch 6 verticals diminishing whatever this small waterfall ever had going for it in the first place! Still, it has a certain gothic ambience about it although the rock and the root seem to be fighting for the spotlight never mind the waterfall!
Thank you for creeping by anyway :)

(Wikipedia)

Is it sad that I really like this song?
I stick to the belief that I was born in the wrong era.
Ugh, I hate music today, haha.
Today I'm going to meet a friend from England, that I only see twice a year.
We're going to watch Alice in Wonderland, cause I still haven't seen it..
:: “Suddenly, in this echoing house of Byzantium - one of the wonders of history - my spirit leapt out of its confines. I knew in that instant that, whatever happened, I could never go back to my old constraints. I wanted to follow life upward, to expand with it outward, the way this enormous interior swelled upward and outward. My heart swelled with it....” ~ {The Historian}.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of these upcoming days, I find solace & quietude nestled between the pages of two much loved, often read novels. A savoring of stories, a settling in to the comfort of the familiar. My deep breath. ::
