During our last visit to Bryce Canyon, I repeatedly returned to the same spot on the Navajo Trail. I've done this before, but usually on different trips, not repeatedly on the same day. I had a similar experience at White Sands when I found a tree amid the gypsum dunes, but that was just for a morning and sunset shoot. On the Navajo Trail, I noticed something interesting: after capturing the obvious shots, I started experimenting with various techniques. First, I changed focal lengths, then adjusted aspect ratios. Today's photo is a panoramic I took while testing different image formats. I noticed a white layer on some distant hoodoos, so I walked down the trail to get eye level and zoomed to 120 mm. Initially, I planned to include the white hoodoos in the shot, but as the light changed, it illuminated the foreground hoodoos, creating a striking contrast with the shadowed rocks.

WHISPERING or KISSING? Whatever they are doing, it is all about love?

There are people who 'talk' to the flowers and plants? Me, I just 'listen' to them.

And I only buy flowers that speak to me...

This pond sits at the edge of the local woods and it was very atmospheric on a windy day with a storm gathering. Better than all the recent rain and gloom at least!

Whatever you think of our Mr. Musk, he sure knows how to put on a show...this was a recent 6:07 am launch that turned spectacular on us.

A neighbor informed me that "your hoots of joy woke us right up"

Apparently Lily was on silly pills this day, after her breakfast she climbed a tree, walked on top the fence, jumped on the neighbors house, got down and finished off with getting a drink of water from the birdbath before going off into the morning. Honestly she has a bowl of fresh water.

Happy Monday and best wishes to all for the upcoming new year!

Whatever that means! It’s pouring! We are under an Areal Flood Warning. We needed it so badly. Thank You, Jesus!

This fox had just swallowed something it had eaten, still chewing on whatever it was.

This was taken in October, the early part of winter when you live in the Arctic. The first snows will usually cover the tundra in September and will stay until late May the following year.

Red Fox will feed on rodents they hear burrowing under the snow. They will also predate the Arctic Fox as well. Man leaves a lot of waste food around for the fox to consume as well.

ちょっとピンぼけどころじゃないですが。。。

lol........I don't think Sally was all that impressed with all the hoop-la that comes with the holiday season, or the parade of "strangers" dropping by, causing a disturbance in her little universe.

I'm sure she'll be happy when all the holiday decor is back in it's boxes and things get back to "normal" around here........whatever that is!

Whatever makes you happy.

Go red this February and join in the fun for National Heart Month.

2011 is the British Heart Foundation's 50th birthday, so what better time to join the celebrations? Get involved in Red for Heart to help raise funds for their vital work.

The BHF is the nation's heart charity. Their vision is a world where people don't die prematurely from heart disease. They look to achieve this through pioneering research, vital prevention activity and ensuring quality care and support for everyone living with heart disease.

There's lots you can do to keep your heart healthy - whatever your age. Taking exercise, eating a healthy diet, encouraging children to be heart healthy and being aware of dangers such as smoking, drinking and high blood pressure.

Prevention really is better than cure. People of all ages who are physically active are half as likely to get cardiovascular disease as those that are inactive. And a healthy diet helps to reduce your risk of developing heart disease, or if you've already got heart problems it will help to protect your heart.

Go on, donate now.

The mist and clouds on our first day on Monhegan Island, Maine, didn't stop us from walking one of the trails. I think the mist adds a little "mist-eriousness" to the scenes!

Whatever breaks your heart ... AIDS, joblessness, homelessness, abortion, the war, terrorism, 911 - just fill in the blank - it'll work

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am home again

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am whole again

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am young again

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am fun again

However far away

I will always love you

However long I stay

I will always love you

Whatever words I say

I will always love you

I will always love you

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am free again

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am clean again

However far away

I will always love you

However long I stay

I will always love you

Whatever words I say

I will always love you

I will always love you
