Well it's pouring today and the temperature is dropping, winter is upon us so I thought this image is quite appropriate. I just love folk who don't mind what the weather does, they still get out there and enjoy what nature has to offer!
I was recently woken up by the last bits of an overnight thunderstorm. I decided to drive to the coast, and to my delight, the retreating storm left behind a sky perfect for a photo.
After taking a few shots with my “professional” camera, I pulled out my iPhone and got the exact shot I was looking for. As they say, "whatever works!"

There is something about simplistic photos that just captures my heart. Perhaps it is just the reminder that sometimes in "quiet" or simplistic there is a strength, one that never needs to be explained .. it is just there. . Regardless I just love it .. :). Hope any of that makes sense.

Yay I finally got here .. :).
The Bullfinch is one of Britain’s most beautiful small resident birds. Here I was pleased to capture a portrait shot of the male. Bullfinch are rarely seen on their own, so, when a colourful male is spotted, the less colourful female will inevitably be nearby. In Autumn and Winter they will often form small groups.
I love to see them, whatever the time of year. They are guaranteed to put a smile on my face !
