Lynn and I have been talking about making a short video about process for 44 Bikes for some time now. She's the film expert of course and this is just a short still to see how the camera captures images and sound to start talking about the story board and what we want to put together. Should be a fun little collaboration.
Floor weld. Panels were put on top in two sections, welded on here, then underneath to weld the diagonal section to the horizontal one.

Weld Boathouse was built on the Charles River in 1906. It serves many boating, rowing, and scullling functions. Harvard's main intercollegiate rowing teams use another boathouse. Eliot House is in the background. The tower of another residence house is at the far right.

Hand forged silver wire which is really more an exercise in welding than forging. We've been working with the forging for about 5 years now and feeling better about the control we are able to achieve. We still have a ways to go with the welding.
