Going into this project, I had no idea how to use pastel, in all honesty I was excited and slightly scared. The first day of this project we had a photoshoot where the class went inside the drama studio and had fun with the interesting lighting, poses, and angles. Once we had the picture we were happy with from the photoshoot, we edited the photos on Pixlr and made the lighting crazy and unnatural. The crazly edited pictures were what we used as a reference for our portraits. The pictures were printed and we got to work with our pastels. In this project, I wanted my final product to resemble me and I wanted to properly use the pastels with their blending. When I started using the pastels, I realized that blending wasn’t needed and it actually made my portrait look worse so I chose different colours that were closer to each other and had a gradient effect on the drawing. If I could change my portrait I would not have kept going over parts of the drawing as I made the eyes too strong in the portrait. I should have stopped drawing and left it as it was to look at and review the next next day. I was always unsatisfied with the final product so I kept adding more colour and details that weren’t even existent, in the end I think I accidently made my portrait look like Mona Lisa in the sense where the expression on my face is neither happy or sad.
We edit all that happens in our day and today, after all the chores, I went for a walk in the park with ms mcg and then we came back. I didn't feel good about the image or sharing it and I usually edit out some of the most disturbing images from the Patch but that previous image needs at very least some antidote and some thought. So the Kuleshov Effect as described below. Of course these two personalities are not so likely to feel an empathy for each other but they live under the same roof; are interested, curious and possibly even amused by one another's company. There again... they both live and acknowledge my gaze so why not each others? This is the first image I have ever used twice but desperate measures. A curious flower or a dandelion patch standard just wouldn't work. Thanks Avaaz; there are few things we see that are quite so disturbing as they arrive on the screen. Syria... Iraq... Afghanistan... and even here in UK and Europe people suffer impossibly appalling experiences at the hands of our own species. I realize it is the responsibility of each and every one of us to evolve away from it all. To never have some things happen ever again.

This is for my photography class at the Art Institute. It's taken on film, the negatives were scanned, and we edited it on Photoshop.
Weeeiiirrrd, I know.

PS, the actual print doesn't look as bad.
We are filming most of our interviews presently using our Sony PMW F5 camera. For our contract projects that we edit and color correct I like to film using Slog2 with the LC709 typeA LUT, 23.976, 4K for 1080 or 2K. Slog on Sony F5 F55 cameras will give you 14+ stops of dynamic range or 14 stops between the minimum and maximum light intensities.
This short film is about a young man wanna find a decent job. His friend introduces him to Chinese gangdom. But he find there is total different with his original thinking, there is cruel and real.
Finally he know he can`t accept all of things about there. He find he still be loser. He knows the job is for someone who can do. Some decent works still have other sides we can`t notice.

This was probably a little after sunset at the apple orchards on campus. I wanted to capture his fun outgoing personality. I also later on when we edit want to learn how to fix the reflections in his glasses.
my loverly mays and me..this was the week we had 3 photoshoots in 7 days while doing 100 other things for Psykick Vinyl....we didnt OD on coffee but we did go and buy some handy eye cream and a pack of ruskis to celebrate once we edited all of these at 2 in the morning

I am seen recording my voice in a broadcast booth at BCIT in SE10 as we frequently use our voices in Sound Design to tell a story, do a voice-over, or even record our own commercials! Then we edit the clip to produce a worthy piece of audio. This is by far my favorite class.
