These are pretty interesting cars. Pretty sure the 50 that WC built were the only ones. They were built from a group of 100, 50' bulkhead flats, originally built for the Southern railroad in 1981.
WC SD45 7517 sits in the deadline at Homewood, IL. 7517 was one of the lucky survivors, it made it to the DMVW.
On a tip from fellow railfan Mike Yuhas, I drove (in a snowstorm) up to Cedarburg, WI where I caught L507 tied up for the night. 5:40 A.M. 2/2/2008
SOO Line FDL boxcar 5038 CUFT
This series of car was somewhat rare to find repainted. The skirts being longer really makes it stand out.

Here is my second attempt at a rock / water scape using my WC Pencils. I started out with the Derwent pencils but just couldn't get any values to speak of. So then I went nuts with my WC Crayons and this is the final result. This is on the same paper as the other two landscapes (Strathmore cold press) which is part of the problem. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Thanks for looking.
Am 23.04.20 konnte in Dormagen Nord der Wefers Reisen Wg. WC 600 (ex Qbuzz Groningen 3269) angetroffen werden bevor er wenige Augenblicke später sein Ziel Dormagen Bahnhof erreicht. Der Wagen ist im Auftrag der BVR/Rheinlandbus auf der Linie 875 zwischen Neuss Landestheater und Dormagen Bahnhof unterwegs gewesen.
