The WC local from Neenah waits for the crossing to be lined for their train. Shawano, WI 8/02/1993

From a series of images showing the areas in Sydney affected by the outbreak of Bubonic Plague in 1900. Taken by Mr. John Degotardi, Jr., photographer from the Department of Public Works, the images depict the state of the houses and 'slum' buildings at the time of the outbreak and the cleansing and disinfecting operations which followed.

Hasselblad with 2.8/80 on Kodak Tmax 400, Negscan

These old boxcars had been parked long-term in Bergland, MI where they were available for occaisional use for additional braking effort on heavy trains descending the grade into White Pine. The cars of copper behind them are likely to be some of the last sent to White Pine, eliminating the need for the 40 footers. I doubt the old Soo Line boxes are going anywhere but a scrap yard.

WC 6638 showing a couple of its former owners paint scheme. Originally built for the Frisco it ended up on the Soo Line after retirement from the BN then to Morrison Knudsen before being purchased by the WC in 1998.
