and appears to be most comfortable waving his noodly appendage at us.
Construction information: He was made with a few miles of knitted 4-stitch I-cord with Lion Brand Wool Ease in cream. These were draped and tacked over a stuffed knitted sphere made from the same yarn. Meatballs were spheres fashioned of Lion Brand Suede yarn in a deep chocolate brown (it isn't easy finding meaty-colored yarn...). Two google eyes were attached to the short noodles and some of the noodles, including the eye stems, were wired with craft wire.

It was a day of unusually high tide. Waves still making a splash even though the tide was still going out and near low tide. Only some waves made a big splash so it was a case of patience and trying to anticipate when there would be a big splash.
Sketched directly in ink with watercolor on location at Wave Hill Garden in the Bronx, with the NYC Urban Sketchers. Magnificent view overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades(NJ).

Happy Friday!! Have a great weekend!

Just a simple shot but I liked the pattern of parallel lines made by the land in the distance, the coast, waves and the rocks in the foreground.

I went down to the coast last night hoping to catch a sunset, but it was a bust, as the fog and coastal cloud cover never lifted. So, I resorted to the next best thing, shooting some wave action.
