View On BlackLooks Best Large on Black
I have these old medicinal, vanilla and cream bottles sitting in the window...I have taken pics of these before...quite a while back with my older camera...and decided to shoot them again...arranging the colors...experimenting with them. I tried texture...but, the glow of the bottles seems to get lost in translation with it (not that it looks bad, just don't think it is quite right yet)...will have to create just the right texture for them to make it work...=) It really does look better against the black...
A couple of wave portraits from Newborough Beach, on Anglesey.
The strong wind was producing some huge waves, so I experimented with some David Baker (milouvision) inspired images of the waves. These aren't anything special but were certainly very good fun to try when presented with the opportunity of the raging sea.
I found these challenging to take, let alone to try and capture anything meaningful compositionally so I have even greater respect for the body of work that David has accumulated - go check him out.

This wave is not far beyond the Hoodoo Wave, but has very different coloration. Instead of gold, it shows bright red and white stripes. One friend said it reminded him of bacon.
This wave is quite large and would look beautiful at sunrise. There are several good comps available. It's also quite easy to get to. For directions, send me a FlickrMail.
