This image was captured by boat on the southern arm of the scenic Alouette River.
Junction point where two rivers meet. The Alouette River flowing into Pitt River.
You can also capture this area by foot, but nothing compares to experiencing this life style by floating into the scene and becoming one with the peacefulness and beauty that 'surrounds' you.

During a morning hike through a woodland not far from my home I passed that spot. A large part of this forest was flooded, and when You see all this moss, for quite some time already. It was an impressive view, especially on that misty and rainy day. For those who look closely, they can surmise the reason for that flood. And ? You found it ? I photographed a few different perspectives. They will follow within the next days.
When You are driving by that little lake in my hometown its comes across very unremarkable. Actually its not even a lake but more a pond. But, when You stay a little longer, especially on a beautiful evening like this, it starts to feel like a little green oasis. It doesn’t need a spectacular scenery for special moments.

As a landscape photographer, from time to time you have the opportunity to experience moments, what seem to be not from this world. This morning at lake Quitzdorf for me was one of those moments. As the sun was rising glowing red above the mist covered waters, swallowing everything with its fire, I couldn't do anything but watching, amazed and fascinated. When your day is starting like this, it must become a good day.

Loch Awe is the third largest, freshwater loch in Scotland. It is the longest loch measuring 25 miles (41 kilometres) from end to end.
At the north end of the loch, there is Kilchurn Castle. The loch is renowned for its trout fishing and salmon pass through the loch, coming past River Awe and continuing into the River Orchy.
I took this photo from a parking place at the side of the loch, which had a small path to the small beach I was standing on. It was so peaceful and no one around, it felt like I was the only person in the whole world at the moment.
thanks to all the people who have followed me and also to those who just peeped into my photostream !!!!!! I honestly did not imagine anything like that
The area around Munnar in the highlands of Kerala is surely one of the most beautiful places in the world. There are new enchanting vistas and scenes around every bend of the road!
After this, the trip heads over to Alleppey for a trip on a house boat. The trip is only half over.
As I have mentioned, I enjoyed Venice by avoiding the enormous crowds. Going out very early in the morning to take pictures had its rewards. I saw only the locals going off to work and got a glimpse of what little remains of the real Venice. I would hope that the residents get their way and see the number of visitors limited some day.
These boats on the canal by my small hotel on the lagoon were docked, just waiting for the hectic day to begin.
Another photo from the Eistobel in the Allgäu alps. What attracted me here, was the way the morning sun reflecting in this little pool. It has something farytale like to me. Its very inviting to plunge in. At the end another information by the way. The Eistobel, like the name (icetobel) can imagine, is an absolutely must see during the winter (someone told me). Then everywhere are emerging the most beautiful ice formations along the river. We‘ll see, if I can make it there to this time somehow.
Ein weitere Aufnahme vom Eistobel im Allgäu. Was mich hier so angezogen hat, war das Licht der Morgensonne, was sich in diesem Sammelbecken gespiegelt hat. Das hat schon was märchenhaftes. Da möchte man doch gleich mal abtauchen.
I loved to walk on along the boardwalk on St Marks basin to watch the light change in the dawn of morning. It was so calm and romantic. The gondolas were always bobbing in the water, faithfully waiting for the day to break and for people to hop on board.
A more distant view of a bridge I like, looking across the pond that empties into a stream below the bridge.
Today we go again to the Nieselgrund hydroelectric power station in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. However, the picture is from last spring, because I don't have much time for new tours at the moment. A situation that will hopefully change again soon.
The place is always worth a visit because of the atmosphere that prevails here (every time it reminds me of an abandoned temple in the jungle). This morning, however, the sun drew my attention to one detail, the moss-covered rocks in the river.

Perhaps another image which finds its beauty in B&W. The original green color was not a shade I was fond of! This was the parting glimpse I had of the beautiful canal that feeds into the lake of the backwaters. There are a few more images of the lake that are coming soon before we leave this beautiful place.
