I captured this image during an early morning stack-out in a hedge back in North Yorkshire recently.
My patience paid off as the sun rose and a couple of Hares decided to pass-by on more than one occasion!
Thank you for visiting my Flickr page. Happy to receive feedback / comments about my images.
This male Northern Cardinal was watching the other birds at one of the nearby feeders from his hiding place in the bushes. As soon as there was an opening, he quickly took his turn before being chased off by another male Cardinal.
I had to laugh because as you can see, he isn't very well hidden at al!
Caught you red-handed again
You took my heart and ran
But this game is rigged
And you’ll never gonna let me win
When I think I’ve got the upper hand
You’re always three moves ahead
Now that I’m looking back
I never even stood a chance
So you wanna play?
Step right up
So you wanna play with me?
So you wanna play?
Try your luck
So you wanna play?
Well, come play with me

Some of you may remember this character watching the Lupins back in the Summer. He's back and watching the last of the climbing roses.
"Woke up one morning half asleep
With all my blankets in a heap
And yellow roses scattered all around
The time was still approaching four
I couldn't stand it any more
Saw marigolds upon my eiderdown
I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain
Making the garden grow
I'm just sitting watching flowers in the rain
Feel the power of the rain
Keeping me cool."

Would you like to come cloud watching with me?
We can while away the afternoon
Just to step out of time is all we need
Looking out for the other rule
Cos there’s no place
I’d rather be
There’s no one
I’d rather see
Would you like to come cloud watching with me?
We can watch the world roll on by
Dreaming up all the endless possibilities
Staring into the open sky
Would you like to come cloud watching with me?
We don’t have to talk at all
If we lie on our backs in the green green grass
I guarantee there’s no way to fall
Cos there’s no place
I’d rather be
And there’s no one
I’d rather see
And together watch the blues get blown away
Cos there are so many clouds in the sky today

I poked my head into James' studio and saw little Jamie sitting there, intently watching and listening to her Daddy practice. It was so sweet I couldn't help but snap a picture. I'm so glad he started his singing again.
Early morning photowalk this morning - caught this Pigeon - watching and waiting for my next move... the low key edit seems to work quite well with this image
A group of laughing gulls passing the time of day watching people at the beach. Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge/Assateague Island.
Beachy Head Lighthouse, East Sussex, England.
The original Belle Tout lighthouse was built in 1832 and came into operation on the 11th October 1834.
Over the years, erosion of the cliff reduced the effectiveness of the light and in the late 1800s it was decided by Trinity House to build a new lighthouse at the base of the Beachy Head cliffs.
Work began on the new Beachy Head lighthouse. It was built using a coffer dam which helped keep the groundworks protected during construction and materials were winched down in a large bucket. On the 25th February 1902 the last stone was laid, and the lighthouse finally operational and was first lit on the 2nd October 1902.
The tower is made from Cornish granite and did not always have the red and white stripes. It was originally granite colour, then a black stripe was added and then finally it was painted red and white to make it more prominent as a day mark.
The height of the tower is 43 metres and has a first order 920mm asymmetrical catadioptric optic which produces a white flash every 20 seconds. It has a range of 8 nautical miles.
The Beachy Head lighthouse was electrified in 1920 and completely automated in 1983. It was the end of an era for the keepers who had watched over these shores.
Getting this angle of view wasn't straight foward as it meant going beyond the safety barrier and climbing down the cliff side around 20-30 feet....not recommended if your not fond of heights....
I'm surpised I managed to get a reasonably clear shot given the exposure time and a howling wind behind me, but I managed to shelter my camera with yours truly....:-)
Thanks for viewing and have a great weekend :-)
These days I wish I could just sitting here forever watching that gorgeous sunset.
Happy weekend ahead friends.
Cheers.

My new city scape is coming together slowly, but nicely. It's not done yet, but you are welcome to come and take a look already.
Audience watching fireworks. The light exploding in the background is from a street light. The haze is from the smoke from the fireworks combined with humidity as the rain had just stopped.

This just in...4 minutes past 3pm Pacific time on Saturday, February 29, Marley was spotted perched on top of the high countertop watching the second hand move around on the wall clock.
This is the first time I've seen him do this! I was amazed as I thought to myself what a coincidence that this should happen on Happy Caturday whose theme is cats and time e.g., clocks.
I know I've already posted one of Marley for this week's theme but this one was not staged and so spontaneous that I couldn't resist posting. Happy Caturday!
