Two kitties in a row. Imagine that.
This is Sissy. She was busy grooming herself while she reclined in one of Karen's quilted bags that lay on her favorite sofa in the sun room. That the bag and the fabric of the sofa were a perfect match was a happy accident that I took advantage of. I took a couple of her licking her paw and cleaning her ears, when her eye caught either a bird or a squirrel in the tree right outside the windows.
I think of the sun room and that tree as the cats television. A way to keep entertained throughout the days and as long as the sun is out.
Here you can see the lovely shade of green that her eyes have. So intense is her stare, it makes her striped pattern seem all the more big-cat-like. Her fur has a lovely and soft feel that I can almost sense in the way the light is falling on her.
They don't ask for much and return our kindnesses and shelter with play, fun and a real companionship that makes for a great partnership.

The winter storms at Whitehaven always provide a spectacle. Here three people watch the waves in the inner section of the outer harbour. Good to see she put her slippers on to keep her toes warm :-)
Sitting in the hide as you do just hoping something would turn up .
My luck was in as this jay flew in and started to search the vegetation. I thought he might be burying acorns or something like that but no he just hopped around in that swanky way only Jays can perform.
Unfortunately it was just on the limits of my lens but I had to have a go didn't I?
These lionesses were watching close-by herds of zebras and wildebeests which were way too close for comfort, not noticing the lions nearby. They then noticed them and immediately ran away in a crusade-like march. One of the lionesses who spotted buffaloes on the other side of the river decided she was on a mission and walked very far from the rest of the group. We saw the beginning of a chase, but it was too far away to capture on camera
Went to Joshua Tree National Park with Robert, Bonny, Venise, and Ken last weekend. Never been there so I didn't know what to expect and I was not prepared. We first went to the 29 Palms Oasis. The name sounds pretty awesome, huh? After a couple of hours hiking, I was not too happy finding out that the oasis is dry. Plus, Bonny is afraid of height so we gave up around a quarter way. Thanks for trying, Bonny. You did great! It was also so cute to see Venise saying: "Its okay, Mommy. Take my hand." She is such a sweet girl. Too bad we had to split up.
After the 29 Palms Oasis, We were trying to go to Key View point to watch the sunset but we realized we missed the turn when we saw the gate on the other side. We were then told that we missed it 14 miles ago. Damn! I went back but it was already dark even before we got to Key View. So we decided to just make a stop and photograph the sunset. Took some pics of the tree but was not happy with the result so I started doing some experiments. I stole this idea of getting the reflection from the car from Robert. Nice one, Bob.
Watch out! That little dog (Prin) is going to throw a peanut at your back!

One of our most sophisticated timepieces, E. Howard & Co. have produced high quality watched and clocks since 1842. Classic craftsmanship meets modern technology with the addition of Atomic accuracy. Displays both analog and digital formats, as well as date. Comes in polished stainless or gold-plated stainless housing.
The rustic Watch Cottage was first mentioned in 1785 but is likely to have dated from an earlier period. In 1806, Richard Colt Hoare added the Gothic seat and porch, hence its other name often used today, 'Gothic Cottage'.
On my way to work... went in an hour and a half early because I switched schedules with a co-worker for the day.
The book is a joke, don't buy it. ;-) Makes a nice coffee table book, and it can give me a direction if I'm feeling dried up on ideas, but the technical knowledge is slightly out-dated information for P&S/bridge cameras.

This Roadside hawk would always appear early morning overlooking Buenaventura when everything was still shrouded in mist. By the time there was enough light for a good picture, he was gone.

After getting several emails this morning and this week, I'm pretty frustrated. Asking me when your doll will be done or if I can hurry will not make me go faster, in fact it will just make my work half as good as it should look. Kyle sent me this video and I loved it.
I only do faces on Friday nights and sometimes during the weekends if I can. On top of faces and reroots, I am also handeling a 3 year old, housework and prepping for an upcomning craft show. So please be patient, your doll is on my mind 24/7 trust me. I'm one of those people who tend to worry and obsess over things, so even when I'm not working on a face, she is in my mind in hopes of working on her. I hope this didn't sound mean, I mean it in the nicest way possible, just a little stressed today. Thank you guys! <3
