Was away for so long don't even know what to say. Have been feeling that film has ran out of time, but I really don't want to let go of film, ever. Perhaps it is just me being paranoid, but it certainly feels like that with today's market being pretty much all digital. Makes one feel lonely is what it is. Glad to see there are flickr members showing support for film and the graininess. Here is one to support that warm film feeling.

Kirkjufellsfoss, Iceland. One of the most popular places in Iceland, and everyone can see why. Beautiful place, I was lucky to be all on my own. Just me and the waterfall... Had to stay out late for it, watched the sun go down behind the mountain... Amazing experience.

A couple weeks ago I had the urge to try my hand at a self portrait. I set up my Crown graphic on my spare tripod, focused near the back of my camera, posed with "Little Boy", and used an air release to trip the shutter.
I like the result. It reminds my of all the time I've spent over the years, ready to release the shutter, waiting for that "Decisive Moment" when the light, wind, and subject all come together ready to be photographed.
