Self portrait of a young woman in Ukraine, living through a war. She had to flee her home once, leaving all she owned behind. She was just recently notified that she must begin preparing herself and her child to flee her new home at any time and maybe soon. This is the story behind this photograph.
You can see the emotion in her eyes and on her face. But what is it? What is she thinking? What is she feeling? Are you as haunted by this image as I am?
To give proper credit where it is due, this image was captured by the subject of the photo. It's a self-portrait. She gave me permission to edit the image and post it here. What I take credit for is the editing and transformation of the image in Photoshop but that's it. The photography is hers.

Sneak up behind me with a lasso
You thought it wouldn't be much hassle
But I'm ready for a fight
I know my weakness
I know my tendency to lean in
The only thing you didn't see is
I'm ready for a fight
A little more war paint, a little more war paint
Wearin' all the war paint, honey come on
I'm just waiting for the green light before the bomb
There ain't no way I'm gonna save me from myself

In the morning, an F15 Eagle, constantly circling high overhead, with a final strike run on a local ex military camp.
In the afternoon, hovering high, a Kestrel, strangely, under the flight path of the Eagle's final strike run.
I leave you with that thought.

We visited with Dad & Mom for Father's Day a while today- played with their new puppy, Jase. OMG! She did everything she could think of to keep me engaged! NOT the camera, Jase! NO NO! Bad dog! LOL! :)
So this one is for my new baby son Sinah.
I did The War Rehza a few years ago and since my new son was born i decided to do The War Sinah.
I would like to think of it as if in another time, place, world these machines would be what my sons would go into battle with.
hence the name War Sinah.
Letter wise this one is more armored than Rehzas.. maybe more agile.
But Rehzas is like the heavy arms.. bigger.. slightly tougher.. but slower.
I decided to do this one with my homeboys Plush and Teror at a new spot in the city of ATL.

A spectacular mural that appears on Carlisle’s City West Walls depicting a Celtic god bearing down on a Roman soldier.
The giant deity is known as Belatucadros and was worshipped in Celtic northern Britain from around 750 BC to 12 BC, particularly in Cumberland and Westmorland.
In the Roman period between 388 AD – 400 AD, he was identified with Mars and appears to have been worshipped by lower-ranked Roman soldiers as well as by Britons.
The magnificent painting took a fortnight to complete by internationally renowned Australian, now Glasgow based artist Sam Bates aka Smug One
