The Taukkyan War Cemetery is a cemetery for Allied soldiers from the British Commonwealth who died in battle in Burma during the Second World War.
This smokey landscape was taken at Dee Wright Observatory, McKenzie Pass, Oregon. Smoke from the California and Oregon wildfires eerie war torn look across the Belknap lava flow. Turns out there was something on my UV filter, but I don't mind the rainbow it caused in the foreground - could have been much worse.

Inside the Smithfield Market, a monument commemorates "all men, women and children of Smithfield who lost their lives in conflict since the great war"
Upon leaving the potholes east of the Fireplace, the rebels have found resistance at the base of the Fireplace. They must get to the pot holes west of the Fireplace to free the land. The Pothole Wars have begun!
The District 99 Education Foundation hosted the third annual Pizza Wars event on January 14, 2016. Nearly 500 community members attended and enjoyed delicious pizza from Al's Pizzeria, Dan's Pizza, Giordano's, John & Eddies, Lou Malnati's, Marco's Pizza, and Tortorice's. Congratulations to Tortorice's--2016 winner! Thank you to all the pizzerias for their generous donation and to everyone who supported the event.

Kenneth Wright Pavilion and the Shrine of Memory for the Global War on Terrorism and Beyond Feb. 29, 2020, in Richmond, Virginia. Virginia Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs Carlos Hopkins gave remarks during the event, and Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, recited In Flanders Fields. Gold Star parents helped perform the ceremonial ribbon cutting, including Vic Mason, father of Virginia National Guard Soldier Sgt. Nicholas Mason, who was killed in Iraq in 2004.
