Winds of war in Europe - February 24th, 2022 - 2023

So just a little test to show how cool a cowl would look like. For me I'll stay with the official cowl but what do you think?

PLEASE COMMENT!

The first thing that catches your eye here is the absence of lively groups of students running from one building of the institute to another or sitting on benches between lectures and noisily discussing something...

Have been concious that I've been neglecting my pinhole work recently so here's one from nearly a year ago.

Having somewhat exerted myself the previous day, humping ‘the big camera’ around the Loch Maree Mountain Trail, I decided, since it was such a beautiful day, to have a nice gentle stroll down by Loch Coullin.

I, unintentionally, ended up doing a full circuit with the Canon gear again. Ah well, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?

You probably have come across this term. Wikipedia would give you a variety of definitions and explanations. From the perspective of the UK and, important to clarify, from my own point of view, I would say that what is being talked about is a struggle for power over public opinion and the control of the media. Political interest groups use "hot-button" issues (racism, gender roles, Brexit, immigration, the interpretation of colonial history etc.) as a technique to polarise society and distinguish between "us" and "them". This is not a debate in the interest of truth. It is all about bullying and pushing certain agendas through. In other words, culture wars have intentional consequences. When a public TV channel with critical news reporting is being "privatised" or when the public BBC is threatened with a redrafting of its charter, you know that very likely culture wars are involved. "Commander, the time has come. Execute Order Sixty-Six."

"We must move quickly. The Jedi are relentless. If they are not all destroyed, it will be civil war without end."

"Do not hesitate. Show no mercy"

Honestly Order 66 is the saddest part of Star Wars. There was a special bond between the Clone Troopers and their Jedi Generals and they were forced to unwillingly slaughter their brothers in arms.

I was feeling a Star Wars build and this just kinda happened. I wanted to explore new color combos, and I really like the olive green foliage and the dark orange soil. And while I was at it I decided to make this my application to Dark Times.

As previously stated, this is my final build of 2019; my final build of the decade!

The peace and tranquility of the Firth of Clyde is often sadly disturbed by military vessels from all over Europe, this one is a French ship taking part in a recent NATO exercise of the West Coast of Scotland.

This typewriter was used by the administration of Camp Amersfoort during the Second World War.

The number 5 contains a runic sign of the SS. Given Flickr's guidelines, I have made this unrecognizable.

On a whim I went back to Gerty and grabbed a telephoto to 'see what I could see'. This stopped me in my tracks, I felt like a film director in that this scene needed to be put to film so to speak. This shot is of the awesome bridge of the USS Independence and her neighbor the USS Kitty Hawk.

I love this, hope ya'll do too.

Please press 'L' :-)

This War Machine is pretty great. I was skeptical because the Toybiz version is probably one of the best in that era, but this figure does mark an improvement.
