I hadn't realised, but not only is Brunel's Thames Tunnel still intact, it's actually in use between Rotherhithe and Wapping tube stations.
Brunel’s Thames Tunnel, between Wapping and Rotherhithe, was the first tunnel to be built under a river anywhere in the world. It took eighteen years to complete and opened in 1843. It was described as the ‘eighth wonder of the world’ and introduced methods of tunnelling still used today.
12th March 2010 was the penultimate day that the public will ever be given foot-access to the Brunels’ brilliant construction. I walked it from Rotherhithe to Wapping and back, stepping over the relaid rails of the East London Line, and marvelling.

This was my first London Job. In total there was 13 of us, all Jack the Ripper enthusiasts (or Ripperologists as we are called) Many of them are authors of books.
We walked around the H Division looking at locations of old police stations that were around during the murders in 1888.

Täsch ist nur 6km entfernt vom autofreien Kurort Zermatt und dem berühmten Matterhorn. Beide Orte sind durch einen Shuttlezug und verbunden. Dieser verkehren alle 20 min. Die Ferienanlage besteht aus Zimmern und Apartments in verschiedenen Grössen und Ausstattungen. Alle Apartments haben eine Küche. Kostenlose Parkplätze!!!

Täsch ist eine politische Gemeinde des Bezirks Visp im deutschsprachigen Teil des Kantons Wallis in der Schweiz. Das typische Walliser Dorf liegt rund 6 km nördlich der Tourismusmetropole Zermatt.
Da die Strasse für den Privatverkehr hier endet und der Ort der letzte des Nikolaitals vor Zermatt ist, ist Täsch mit grossem Parkhaus und der Bahnverbindung nach Zermatt das Tor zu dessen Gebirgswelt.
Durch das Gemeindegebiet fliesst der Täschbach und die Matter Vispa. Über die Täschalm führt der Europaweg von Grächen nach Zermatt.

One of the most powerful ley-lines in the country for its length, it runs from Fountain Green Square in Bermondsey (from where the picture was taken) across the river to Wapping Pier Head, and thence to Hawksmoor's St. George in the East.
St James in Bermondsey is a later addition to the Southern end of the alignment.

Jonathan Ellery la claridad de pensamiento y de la disposición concisa de sus ideas resuenan a través de todas las áreas de su práctica artística. Él trabaja en broma a través de una amplia gama de medios de comunicación de la escultura al rendimiento, la película a la fotografía.
