I wandered around last week with a couple of cameras, starting in Slaithwaite. I concentrated on the renovation and demolition at the Globe Mills, Slaithwaite is going to change dramatically in the near future so I thought I would take some photos for the record. Next I popped over to Meltham and headed for a spot above Digley Reservoir. I wanted some photos of Holme Moss, it's very much in the news around here at the moment as the Tour de France is heading up there on July 6th. Plevins woodchip fire was burning well in the distance - surrounded by windmills! As I drove home across Wessenden Head the sun was dropping low and the light was quite soft but very bright. I didn't even get out of the Navara, I shot through the passenger window. The cab acted as a sun shield keeping the glare - and flare! at bay, not idleness on my part.
