The artist displays her personal vulnerability by offering completely nude self-portrait with no retouch. Of particular importance for the author is the question of vulnerability of female body nowadays. Despite considerable achievements of the XXI century, we should be honest to admit that woman still does not owe her body: depending on her origin, it belongs to father, husband, family, Sharia Law, advertisement, corporations, brands, complexes, struggle for perfection and external viewpoints, but, unfortunately, not to woman. The author strives to stimulate the audience to reflect on this issue, while letting the viewers to independently decide on the necessity of reconsidering the existing stereotypes and search for personal point of vulnerability.
The project is relevant for our time and society, the problem, which is studied here, has deep penetration into everyday life. The object contacts with a large number of random viewers outside the exhibition space in an unprotected, aggressive, indifferent environment. Video documentation of this action is an unbiased, naked fixation of the interaction between art object with real environment without any expectation of a certain result. The project raises questions without giving answers to them.

Children are amongst the most vulnerable groups when a disaster occurs. In this image, three children are in an improvised shelter waiting to be relocated to safer ground. The 2012 earthquake that struck the northwestern region of Guatemala provoked high levels of damage to housing and infrastructure.

What more can I say.
I do a lot of self portraits and most are with my clothes on, but I am wondering how much more "real" they might be if I let myself be more vulnerable like in this photo.

To say that you are ready to learn something is admitting you don't know it all - that's a vulnerable position to take.

A rigid shrub or small commonly multi-stemmed tree to 5m tall.
Tweed River to Mt Nardi and Glenifer scatterd in Big Scrub remnants and remote mountain tops.Locally abundant although very restricted.
It appears according to Alex Floyd p.416 that it differs from Q.bidwillii in Qld by the "less conspicuous venation, cauline floral clusters, slender flower stalks and the larger smooth fruits"
Interestingly, this tree sometimes produces smooth yellow fruit but normally the fruit is smooth red to black.
It has broader leaves than Quassia sp.'Moonee Creek'

This initiative was part of the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) - ILO Project on “Reducing Vulnerability to bondage in India through the Promotion of Decent Work”. The project was initiated in 2008 in response to a request from the MoLE, Government of India in the selected clusters of Rice Mills and Brick Kilns of Tamil Nadu. Implementation of the pilot project in Tamil Nadu (2008-2010), helped in devising the four pronged strategy for intervention, on which the project was designed and implemented in 6 states during the period December 2011 – November 2013. Cheetah ... female named Nia with her trainer Alicia
Acinonyx jubatus
The cheetah plays an important role as a predator on the African savannah. The fastest animal on land, the cheetah can reach speeds up to 70 miles per hour over short distances. A sleek body, flexible backbone, long legs, non-retractable claws, and muscular tail assist the cheetah during high speed chases. The dark tear mark below a cheetah’s eye, called a malar stripe, attracts the sunlight and keeps the glare of the sun out of its eyes. Once the cheetah is within striking distance of its prey, it swipes at the prey’s hind legs with its front paw and strong dewclaw to trip and knock it to the ground. Then it closes off the prey’s windpipe to suffocate it. Exhausted after the chase, the cheetah must rest for a while to recover.

Well, it doesn't work when the piece is fired so I had to come up with another design.
I do like the fact that eggs are vulnerable so I wanted to represent it this way. What do you think?
Is the cut too clean or does it need a more 'Calimero'-effect? :)
Thanks for your opinioin!
The factory was old, but painted. The windows were covered, but with neatly cut panels of wood. The only jagged blemish was a broken panel at one end of the canopy, so of course I spent a couple of minutes documenting that flaw in excruciating detail.

Unsustainable development practices make people more vulnerable to disasters. This is particularly true for urban settings faced with poorly planned, badly built or informal housing and infrastructure. Currently, there are about 1 billion people living in mega slums without access to basic services and often on high-risk areas, as illustrated in Kallayanpur slum, one of the urban slums in Dhaka. One of the definitions established by United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-Habitat) for a slum household is that it lacks permanent and adequate housing in a non-hazardous location, protection inhabitants from the extremes of climatic conditions such as rain, heat, cold or humidity. If informal settlements continues to be the main mechanism for absorbing urban growth around the world, there will be a commensurate increase in disaster risk.
