Doesn't this view of Seatle look like something from the future? I cut it, the wandering bug and the frog for a different page, but none of them worked there. I went upstairs and grabbed a few things off my table to throw together this page. I'm constantly amazed at how things fit together.

I am *not* loving this moleskine. It would be great for sketches or even writing, but it is not made for art journaling. However, since the cover has already been altered to read "Art Journal" I'll continue working in it. I'll definitely be going back to a composition notebook for my 3rd volume, though. I may lean more towards doodling/Zentangles, or something like that to finish out this book, though. The pages just won't hold up to all the stress I put on them. ;)

Acrylic, Sharpie, Modge Podge, glue runner, tissue paper, ephemera, border from magazine pages.

This page ended up feeling a little busy I think, but I'm okay with it. :) The background was really dark, even though I liked it. I was totally uninhibited as I created this page.

190903: We spent a long weekend in Lübeck. It was great, even if it was a bit rainy. We always have a kettle with us, so we can make coffee and tea anytime. No, I did not drink the coffee from the glass of water. I needed it to drain the coffee filter there.

p.14 Still sick, I stay in at the hotel all day while the others explore. I feel well enough the next day to see the Himalayas from a viewpoint.

p.15 Visiting a temple/monastery and making our way back down to the train station, where a begging child triggers me and I overreact. Ashamed of myself. (I like the way this page turned out—it may be my favorite.)

I got a little behind with sharing my journal spreads. Here is a batch that I just finished photographing. These are from my Composition Notebook Journal using acrylic paints and other collaged items.

Experimenting with a new kind of story telling. Lets hope this will be interesting :)

XL Moleskine

There is a story behind every page.

Original Bliss - Soloist

Aptly named page, as it's so covered with gesso (re-do!) it's barely bendable D:

200410, left page: This mega egg cup was made for me by the enchanting children of a dear friend. 😄

Right page: When I was riding my bike, a crow ran across the crosswalk with its head held high and very properly straight. Of course I braked and let the crow cross the road safely.

–––––––––––––
