For day 20 of "30 Days of Get Your Art On", I finished the journal page that I started a few nights ago. Here's what it looked like before I started tonight. You can read all about my 30 Days of Get Your Art On here.

Vintage papers and images & cloth, Nova color acrylic paint, black and white gesso.

I used some found objects to stamp with. The most unusual was some dried up paint from the top of the bottle that I made the tiny circles with. Needless to say it wasn't very sturdy, but it made great circles. Having circles on my mind, I went on to a circular gasket that I found somewhere, and then I carved a stamp with two little circles. I learned from a blog to use the hole-cutting punch from my grommet set. I also carved a new three stamp, but I think I have one somewere already carved.
Text reads: Bits and pieces of whaat I see online and elswhere wind up in my journal. I stack the magazines to the ceiling just waiting to use the different imags in my books.

This is a journal page I mainly did during the last Glue Shit Down Day that I hosted at my art house. The main photo on the left was taken with my iPod touch. I took several photos, then stitched them together with AutoStitch. After I took the pictures, Bobbi took one with me in it so I could be included, so that's why we are both ghosty.
the photo of creepy doll on the right was taken at the grocery store.
My neck pain & migraines have been getting to be too much again, even on pain killers. So I distracted myself from the pain by working in my journal. The skull, heart, ghosty-guy with big hands and the spine-looking stamp are stamps I carved the other day for a workshop I'm going to teach next Spring.
I started this journal spread while I was teaching a journaling class at Art & Soul in Hampton, Virginia. Most of the spread was done in class, but I did the finishing touches this morning. The journaling class was titled "Creating My Desired Life", and it's something I'm still working on! (Creating My own desired life that is--and creating one that isn't slowly killing my body that seems to be breaking down more and is in more and more pain because I'm working it too hard.)

This is a set of 5 over-sized postcards of some of my visual journal pages. Each glossy postcard represents a journal spread, and is 8.5" x 5.5". The printing quality is so good, you can read my writing and feel what I was feeling when I created the journal page. Keep it for yourself for art inspiration, or mail it. The back is blank, except for my information, so you can write a note and address it.
