My neck pain & migraines have been getting to be too much again, even on pain killers. So I distracted myself from the pain by working in my journal. The skull, heart, ghosty-guy with big hands and the spine-looking stamp are stamps I carved the other day for a workshop I'm going to teach next Spring.
I started this journal spread while I was teaching a journaling class at Art & Soul in Hampton, Virginia. Most of the spread was done in class, but I did the finishing touches this morning. The journaling class was titled "Creating My Desired Life", and it's something I'm still working on! (Creating My own desired life that is--and creating one that isn't slowly killing my body that seems to be breaking down more and is in more and more pain because I'm working it too hard.)

This is a set of 5 over-sized postcards of some of my visual journal pages. Each glossy postcard represents a journal spread, and is 8.5" x 5.5". The printing quality is so good, you can read my writing and feel what I was feeling when I created the journal page. Keep it for yourself for art inspiration, or mail it. The back is blank, except for my information, so you can write a note and address it.
This section of my journal was started in Nov, but I keep adding to it. I glued the roses in to reinforce the vintage paper when I rebound the journal. Then I couldn't find anything to go with them when I got to those pages.

25 march 2008.
First Andrea found the thermos in the muji store, then I made her show me where they were, then Joel made me go back to the muji store with him so he could buy one.
An actual healing journal entry, aimed at the cycles in our life that we tend to want to ignore.

Seems as if you will see many spoiled back pages this year. ;-(
Next year I won't use the Moleskine Pocket Diary again. So I think this is the last one. Searching for alternatives.
Another page inspired by a song. This one by Jewel from her song, Hands:
If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all OK
And not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful
And useless in times like these
I won't be made useless
I won't be idle with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear.
In the end only kindness matters
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
