1st Baptist Cemetery, Vacherie, La., sits in the midst of Eurick Ricard's sugar cane fields, across the tracks on Church Lane in Magnolia. After the grave cleaning, it was tradition to use the cane knife to get a sample of sugarcane joints.
Visiting Collett 56XX 0-6-2T No. 6695 is seen heading the GCR's mineral wake in challenging lighting conditions as it approaches the A6 bridge at Shelthorpe.

I was in Barry to support our wonderful Labour candidates in bringing about real change in Wales. (7th December, 2019)
I visted Barry's fantastic zero-waste shop and Barry sports and social club.
On this past Sunday I visited Alcatraz Island, which is the home of the infamous Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary. Many of the buildings have rapidly decayed since the prison was closed in 1963 and some were badly damaged in fires. The island itself is beautiful and was especially beautiful on Sunday. It was a warm day and the recent rains made all the vegetation lush and green and many of the flowering plants were blooming. It was so weird to see so much beauty intermixed with so much decay.
This is the remains of the Warden's house. The Park Service has put steel beams inside of it to keep the walls from collapsing.

Later on, the cake had a misfortune of being stepped into by little Antek. I wish I had remembered to take picture of his footprint but the aunts sliced up the cake... Well, it will be something to remember even ten years from now.

A medium-sized evergreen shrub that grows up to 4ft (1.25m) tall when mature and rather wider. In mid-summer it produces an abundance of flower spikes up to 3in (8cm) long. Each flower is about 1/4in (6mm) wide with fertile stamens, and of clear pink, an unusual colour in the smaller hebes. Hardy to 20°F (-7°C), US zones 9–10. A garden hybrid introduced in the 20th century.
Hebe ‘Great Orme’ is a somewhat open, evergreen, bushy shrub, which can grow to nearly 5 ft (140 cm). The parallel-sided, spear-shaped, shiny, green leaves are up to 3.5 in (9 cm) long. The flowers spikes are bright pink, fade to white to give a two-toned effect. summer to autumn.
This half-hardy plant grows into a large and dominant plant. It requires a neutral, alkaline, moist and well drained soil, preferring full sun, semi-shade, sun, and a position in a border or free standing. This plant is likely to need clipping.
One of the larger hebes, ideal for a sheltered shrub border. It is susceptible to and should be protected from leaf spot and mildew.

"The Maidenhead Boy" - by Lydia Karpinska.
This statue has dominated the western end of the High Street for a number of years. After a vandal attack in 2003, it was repaired and restored to its original location two years later.

Lydia Karpinska B.A., A.R.B.S.
Lydia Karpinska, sculptor and portraitist, lives and works in Maidenhead Berkshire. She studied at Central St Martins College of Art, with Leonard Boden R.P., and at Wycombe College.
Her earlier career was involved with drawing and painting portrait commissions of children.
Lydia has made several sculptures for public sites and private clients, and has participated in exhibitions in the U.K. and Europe.
She is a member of the Royal British Sculptors, The Surrey Sculpture Society and The Polish Artists of Great Britain.

Instead of knocking on the door like normal people, we sneak around out back and hang out waiting for them to realize we're there.
A petting zoo featuring a camel, goats, bunnies, quals, chickens, sheep, an alpaca and a baby wallaby was available at the SeaTac Community Center’s birthday party on March 11.
