The rufous-vented tit is an Asian songbird species in the tit and chickadee family.

Sometimes an image is just about repetition. I suspect these bends are turned downward to prevent water entering. I suspect their open end is intended to vent from occupied spaces below ground.

Minimal photo of a vent.

This is a large underground fortress vents.

Under the Northamptonshire soil near Braunston. The driver of Nutfield catches a glimpse of light from a ventilation shaft in Braunston tunnel on the Grand Union Canal. A Timeline Events photo shoot.

Lava Vent Aerial — Though difficult to photograph, aerial views showed that this open vent was but a small window into a large, hot cavity beneath Puʻu ʻŌʻō's northeast flank in Hawaii (taken June 16th). Inside, streams of lava from an unseen source (or sources) closer to the crater rim (visible at lower right) were cascading toward the upper left into unknown depths. This view, looking almost straight down, shows the surface of one of these lava streams through the open vent. The ground around this entire area is sunken, corroded, and unstable, and may someday collapse to form a pit.

Safari in Minneriya National Park

I don't recommend, way too crowded.

At some point it looked like heavy traffic in a very busy city.

Minneriya National Park (Sinhala: මින්නේරිය ජාතික වනෝද්‍යානය, romanized: Minnēriya Jātika Vanōdyānaya; Tamil: மின்னேரியா தேசிய வனம், romanized: Miṉṉēriyā Tēciya Vaṉam) is a national park in North Central Province of Sri Lanka. The area was designated as a national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938.

The reason for declaring the area as protected is to protect the catchment of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. The tank is of historical importance, having been built by King Mahasen in third century AD. The park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population dwelling in forests of Matale, Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee districts. The park earned revenue of Rs. 10.7 million in the six months ending in August 2009. Along with Kaudulla and Girithale, Minneriya forms one of the 70 Important Bird Areas (IBAs) of Sri Lanka. The park is situated 182 kilometres (113 mi) from Colombo.

Vents and chimneys outlining the tops of buildings in Adelaide CBD.

Shot from a rooftop on Gawler Place, where a work function was taking place. Had a great time zooming in on all the other Adelaide rooftops in sight.
