Probably more than the proverbial peck! Not mine - these came from my daughter-next-door's prolific garden. [I harvested exactly 8 small peppers from my own two plants]

I'm rather pleased with this shot, given that my glasses had just fallen apart and I'm blind as a bat without them...

Just a fun photo. I found these onions on the vegetable stall in Sweden.

A beautiful burst of orange and red on the green prairie.

(very tiny, only about an inch, horizontally)

Found at the local supermarket yesterday: a -for me- new vegetable, called romanesco, seemingly a cross between cauliflower and broccoli. But foremost an interesting object with a shape and color reminding me of coral or outerworldly landscapes.

By the way, haven't tasted it yet!

Part of a Romanesco Cauliflower. Note how the main florets are composed of mini florets arranged in a Fibonacci spiral and that these mini florets are in turn composed of micro florets, again arranged in a Fibonacci spiral, which themselves are composed of.......... - isn't nature wonderful!

It reminds me of the old bit of doggerel:-

If dogs have fleas

Do fleas have fleas

Which on their backs do bite'em

And do those fleas

Have lesser fleas

And so, ad infinitum?

A Filipino vegetable dish made with dried taro leaves, coconut milk, shrimp, shrimp paste and chili peppers.

It was a very windy day and I was having trouble getting a good shot of the leaves so I did a 10 shot multiple exposure which gives the leaves there motion.

In the old times, people used to visit shops just to look at them because they had never seen such a colorful red fruit.

Two things I found extraordinary about this bell-pepper : 1) It grew beautifully, even though I had planted cilantro, not peppers. 2) It was ready for harvest in the middle of the Canadian winter.
