Van 29 mei tot en met 1 juni 2014 organisserde de SGB haar jaarlijkse evenement 'Sporen naar het verleden'. Dit maal stond dat in teken van de nog rijvaardige 'La Meuse' locomotieven. De foto's zijn een impressie van donderdag 29 mei.
Hét dance-festival van Amersfoort op het randje van de binnenstad had weer een keiharde line up. Jongeren gaan volledig uit hun dak op het Eemplein. Ook het festival Torenpop was een groot succes.

jammer niet onder leiding van Rob de nachtburgemeester, hoewel hij er wel bij was.
The east front of the Van Hotel. Because this hotel was built in 1924 by G. Van Cleemput, the owner of the Willits Hotel, as an extension of his older hotel, the main entrance was on the north side facing the Willits Hotel. The ground floor featured a huge, elegant lobby. The upper floors are now vacant. The ground floor on this side is occupied by Soul Tattoo (10 S. Main St.) and Zahra Starr clothing store (2 S. Main St.).
Photos from the 1920s and 1930s do not show either the large hotel sign or the exterior fire escapes.

Accompanying the gorgeous Rover P6 Group 2 is the HW Rally Hauler panel van which is used quite extensively in a lot of Hot Wheels Team Transporter sets. Despite its generic status I do rather like the design of this casting which is believable and takes its design cues from a few 1970's US vans and maybe even our own Bedford CF.
My only real issue is that at these prices I would have expected a fully licensed alternative and thats taking into consideration the discount I got by getting it from The Entertainer. On the plus side it contains a LOT of metal in its construction and rides on Real Rider wheels.

Casper Van Dien of Starship Troppers is an avid tennis player and was anxious to try out his new shoes on the court.
So stupidly or scuicidily (I'm not sure which one is more appropriate yet) I flocked to manchester in the early hours of the morning to see the devestation left by the rioters. Fortuantely the police seemed to have everything under control and after driving around following blue lights for a while we stopped here to grab a sneeky shot of the Vans shop. We had been stopped a couple of times but as soon as the Police saw our cameras they wished us luck and carried on with their patrol.
I was hoping for more action shots but this is all i got...
