I created this image with a combination of a lith film photogram, then I scanned it. I added a the seahorses from a photo (the same as what was in the original photogram). And I added in the marble paper image to the black area. (I also made the marbled paper.)
The original photo gram had two seahorses, three small bottles, 6 marbles, and a seashell.
The added bits were the detail in the clear area of the seahorses, and the marbled paper.
It's need but I had higher hopes for it.

“Truly Beautiful Saigon” is not only the title of the popular song composed by Y Van but is also frequently heard from the local people in Ho Chi Minh City. It is because this city is truly beautiful. The beauty is on the piers or in the boats, in the hustle of traffic and human movements, in the flickering of the traditional long dress Ao Dai, in the bustle of the streets and even in the demeanour of modern, energetic and warm-hearted residents. It is impossibly mistaken from any other places throughout the country.
Many people choose to express its BEAUTY by photography. Chosen from over 1,000 photographs contributed by the members of vnphoto.net, a collection of 160 photographs taken from the most beautiful angles solely existing in Ho Chi Minh City is named as “Truly Beautiful Saigon”.
You are holding in your hands a photography book which is a result of the plan to celebrate the sixth anniversary of vnphoto.net. We shall transfer the entire profit of selling this book to the Entrance Exam Support Program 2011 which has been one of the community-service activities carried out by vnphoto.net members in the past many years.
We are deeply indebted to our members and Kim Dong Publisher who have made vast contributions towards the completion of this book.
And now, please view the beauty of Saigon through photographic works in “Truly Beautiful Saigon” and we shall altogether sing “truly beautiful Saigon, dear Saigon, dear Saigon!”.

Something strange happens every time you look at Rondinone’s art. He gives everyday motifs and images a poetic dimension by isolating or enlarging them. On the floor of the 1500m2 Bodon Galleries visitors will move between life-size clown figures. With titles in the present tense, such as be, breathe, remember, feel and yawn, the clowns in the exhibition represent a 24-hour day in the life of an individual. These clown sculptures have never previously been exhibited.
Rainbows
The rainbow has a holistic significance for Rondinone: a symbol that is all-embracing in its form, colour and familiarity. The installation includes half mandala paintings created with an airbrush technique. The optical effect of the large rainbow bands of colour makes them dance before your eyes. The rainbow theme continues in thousands of drawings by children: young artists who have responded to the artist’s request for help in creating a 4 x 30 metre wall of rainbow drawings.
Clowns
The 45 clowns shown in the exhibition have titles in the present tense, such as be, breath, remember, feel and yawn. Together, they describe a day in the life of an individual. Just as a prism splits white light into all the colours of the rainbow, in this installation Rondinone reveals the various aspects of human existence.
Objects in the exhibition
With his installations Ugo creates personal dreamscapes. This installation, entitled Vocabulary of Solitude, is a retrospective exhibition of his works inspired by the colour spectrum. Clowns, clocks, candles, shoes, windows, light bulbs and rainbows: they are recognisable images that speak to all of us. These symbols excite free-association and memories.
