“One euro” is an edition of 1 unique NFT and relates to a jpeg image from the collection “The Treachery of Money”. The collection title hints at René Magritte’s famous “This Is Not a Pipe”, a painting that highlights the distinction between the image of an object and the real physical object. Clearly this is not one euro, but also, that is exactly what it is. Its immutable position on the Etherium blockchain is testament to its durability as something very real and it’s potential future as a carrier of value. Purchase of this NFT is accompanied, via unlockable content, by a digital download of the original image from the artist’s files and a copy of the Dada Dot Dot Artist Manifesto. In addition, audio access to the artist is granted via a private patrons-only channel on Discord.
Another photo of my cat. Her fur is a good example for value since every hair color is different, so it creates a gradual tone difference.
I chose this picture for my Element of Design for my value picture because I thought it brought out the difference in shades between the light blue and black.
Value represents the gradient of one color to another. In photography, value represents the illusion of brightness down to darkness of a photo.
