We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.
We want to thank you for your interest in our work and thanks for visiting our work on Flickr, we do appreciate you and the contributions you make in furthering our interest in photography and on social media in general.

I value nights like when I took this. Just talking and genuinely listening is nice. I also value all the people who choose to stay in my life no matter how many mistakes I seem to make.

This was chosen for value because of it's use of many different shades of the same color, which is blue.
1. It's value due to surrounding blue from the sky reflecting onto the building
2. The striking part of this photo is the reflection of the sky and sun from the world trade center

--I chose this photo for the Element of Design of value, because as you run your eyes up and down the image, you would notice the different shades of blue in the water.
I chose this value. It is my electric pot. I used it for cooking or used boiling water. It shows that value because left side shows dart and goes to right side it became lighter.
These postage stamps were issued by America on 13 December 1994 (= Scott Catalogue # 2891). They are nondenominated but cost 32 cents each when issued. Few modern American stamps are denominated - they are marked "FOREVER" and their values are "mysteries". Apart from the Christmas 1975 commemorative stamps, this trend of not putting values on American postage stamps started with the "A" eagle stamps of 1978. When prices increase, the postal service wants to have adequate supplies of new stamp values. Because the exact price increase can be an uncertainty, nondenominated stamps are printed in advance and declared to be whatever the new price would be. America issued "A" to "H" stamps from the late 1970s to the late 1990s for this reason. After that, nondenominated stamps simply read "First-Class" (or other rate types for other categories of mailings). The first nondenominated "Forever" stamps were issued in 2007.

The photo that I took for value was taken was taken at a close up view, with a shallow depth of field but with out an aperture of f-5.6, instead it was taken with a small aperture of f-29.0. The reason for the shallow depth of field was because of the focal point of the picture that was the pencils. The ISO in this picture was at 200 because I took the picture outside so the picture as a result had less noise than my others. This is the best example of Value because the pencils were arranged to show the lightest hue of blue on the left and the darkest on the right. It was also taken in a close up view to place emphasis on the pencils.
1)This is for Value because you can see the different shades (hues) of orange along with the reflection.
2) At a concert, waiting in line I saw this and it looked really nice.
3) The color really stands out at you and also the group of hanging wine glasses.
4) If it was brighter place.
Every odd-numbered year, thousands of appellants tell county assessors their home or business is worth less than the county says it is. On average, about half of those who appeal are successful. County revenue director Eugene Leung said he had expected this to be a down year for appeals because his assessors cut values overall by 4.3 percent. Instead, there are about 2,000 more appeals this year than in 2009. (08.15.11)
