Ryan and Mandy's bike tour of sustainable communities made it into our
local Truth or Consequences newspaper. Since Mandy was out of town for
this particular event I was asked to fill in for her.

bestehend aus 8 Teilen,
auf Holzfüßen.
insg. 2,3 X 4,8 Meter
Collage,Malerei - Mischtechnik
Grellbunt teilweise chaotisch wirkt das in Mischtechnik
ausgeführtes Werk. Stellenweise ist die Fläche mit Collagen
aus Wellpappe oder Papier belegt,
mit Acryl teilweise aus der Airbrush-Pistole coloriert.
Oben und unten sind relativ.
Wasser, Erde und Himmel fließen ineinander über.
Die Vision eines friedlichen Zusammenlebens in einer Welt,
in der Unterschiede nicht zu Machtkämpfen herausfordern,
sondern eine Bereicherung darstellen.
Kaum hat der Betrachter an einer Stelle
eine Orientierung gefunden, wird dieselbe
ein kleines Stück weiter zerstört.
Großflächige farbige eher ruhige Elemente
heben das zentral gelegene Chaos gleichzeitig auch wieder auf.

Okay, I know I am changing up styles on y'all real quick-like. Just a small diversion from panoramas and HDR's. I messed around with the processing on this nice little oasis in the middle of Old Charleston. This spot is located between buildings where another building would be if it were Cleveland, Chicago or New York. This is the kind of charm that makes Charleston such a nice town.

NOW OPENED at Utopia - modern supernatural sim (maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Village/182/229/1015)
"Arts & utopia" came up after brief research with connections of surrealism, avant-garde and utopia. Inspired by the image of Rommert Boonstra untitled image, as seen at (The photography book(2000)Phaidon press Ltd. p59)"Boonstra...liked to imagine the last days of civilizations abandoned and swept by storm and fire". Image was taken from (http://zonezero.com/exposiciones/fotografos/boonstra/). Blended subtly with the clocks of S. Dali found as a wallpaper image found in Photoshop Creative magazine cd. Thus I added one more dimension, this of melting time. Centre up of the image the sky is bright to envision "hope" projected in the sky-blending with time to project in the future-. To me the candle on the bottom right is about hope again. The internet image is used again to imply scientific utopia and give a vain shape to the final visual.

Utopia is an imaginary place inhabited by an ideal society who enjoy complete social and political harmony. Utopia translates to both “good place” and “no place”, and this imagined model of perfection can inspire us to envision, design, and transform the world we live in every day. In this session, students will dream wildly, envision their own Utopias, and become the change they wish to see in the world. The course will explore the concept of Utopia through various forms of creative communication, ranging from printmaking and music to installation and portable architecture.
This is for a project I have been doing at uni where I have photographed apartment blocks in St. Mary's, Southampton.
This image will be exhibited in the Southampton City Art Gallery between December 2010 and February 2011
The title of the piece refers to the utopian society that these buildings were meant to be the creation of.
Am 26. August waren wir zu Besuch bei "Flucht nach Utopia" von Metaversa e.V. an der Nürtingen Grundschule Berlin. Zu früh aus dem Cryo-Schlaf geweckt, mussten 23 Schüler und Schülerinnen aus unterschiedlichen Klassenstufen versuchen ihr Raumschiff zu reparieren. Dazu galt es Roboter zu porgrammieren um an im Raum versteckte Codes zu gelangen. Letztlich musste gemeinsam über den zukünftigen Reiseweg und Robotergesetze entschieden werden.
Ines Meier (Utopia Velo Messeberatung und Standbetreuung) beriet zu Utopia Pedelecs und dem Utopia Kranich Pedelec, Testrad aus dem Frühjahrstest, sowie der neuen Smartphone App am Tag der offenen Tür bei ExtraEnergy.

19x25 conte crayon on mi tienes paper. I had to create a drawing that was my "utopia" something that i fantasized about living, somewhere I'd like to be etc. This was my idea, you can interrupt it a few ways ;)

"SHOPPING IN A COZY LIVING ROOM"
Utopia Designs gives a cozy atmosphere to Aagam Veneers at their store in Ahmednagar.
The design of the interior is characterized from the contrast of three Shades and tones of "Black". The warmth of the matured "Grey" create a cozy living room atmosphere.
The Nucleus feature hanging "Traversed Light" gives this space a complete Industrial look and Inspite of having a 45 Degree tilted ceiling, it provides with adequate lighting to the space.
The furniture consists of a combination of Fabric, Solid Surface, Charcoal and PVC Satvario Stone Panel and thus gives a very contemporary industrial touch.
Fully glazed wall panels allow the glance from the passengers; in that way the store itself becomes part of the display window.
