Bom Jesus do Monte es un santuario portugués situado en los alrededores de la ciudad de Braga, en el norte del país. Su nombre significa 'Buen Jesús del Monte'. El Santuario es un ejemplo notable de lugar de peregrinaje. Su característica más prominente son sus escaleras monumentales barrocas, que salvan un desnivel de 116 metros. Es una importante atracción turística de la ciudad de Braga. Numerosas cumbres en Portugal y otras partes de Europa han sido lugares de devoción religiosa desde antiguo, y es posible que la colina del Bom Jesus fuese una de ellas. Sin embargo, el primer indicio de la existencia una capilla sobre la colina data de 1373. Esta capilla —dedicada a la Santa Cruz— fue reconstruida en los siglos XV y XVI. En 1629 se construyó una iglesia de peregrinaje dedicada al Bom Jesus (Buen Jesús), con seis capillas dedicadas a la Pasión de Cristo. El Santuario actual se empezó a construir en 1722, bajo el patrocinio del Arzobispo de Braga, Rodrigo de Moura Telles. Se puede ver su escudo de armas se ve en la puerta, al principio de la escalera. Bajo su dirección se completó la primera fila de escaleras, con capillas dedicadas al Via Crucis. Cada capilla está decorada con esculturas de terracota que describen la Pasión de Cristo. También patrocinó el siguiente segmento de escaleras, que tiene una forma zigzagueante y está dedicado a los Cinco Sentidos. Cada sentido (vista, oído, olfato, gusto y tacto) está representado por una fuente diferente. Al final de esta escalera, se construyó, alrededor de 1725, una iglesia barroca, a cargo del arquitecto Manuel Pinto Vilalobos. Las obras de las primeras capillas, escaleras e iglesia tuvieron lugar a lo largo del siglo XVIII. En una zona detrás de la iglesia (el llamado Terreiro dos Evangelistas), se construyeron, en la década de 1760, tres capillas octogonales con estatuas que describían episodios posteriores a la Crucifixión, como el encuentro de Jesús con María Magdalena. Su diseño exterior se le atribuye al célebre arquitecto bracarense André Soares. Alrededor de estas capillas hay cuatro fuentes barrocas con estatuas de los evangelistas, que datan también de aquella década. Alrededor de 1781, el arzobispo Gaspar de Braganza decidió completar el conjunto añadiendo un tercer tramo de escaleras y una nueva iglesia. La tercera escalera también sigue un patrón zigzagueante y está dedicada a las Tres Virtudes Teologales: Fe, Esperanza y Caridad, cada una con su fuente. La iglesia vieja se demolió y se construyó una nueva siguiendo un estilo neoclásico, a cargo del arquitecto Carlos Amarante. Esta nueva iglesia, comenzada en 1784, tenía decorado su interior a comienzos del siglo XIX y fue consagrada en 1834. El retablo principal está dedicado a la Crucifixión. En el siglo XIX, la zona alrededor de la iglesia y la escalera se expropió para convertirla en un parque. En 1882, para facilitar el acceso al Santuario, se construyó el Elevador do Bom Jesus, que unía la ciudad de Braga con la colina. Fue el primero de su clase que se construyó en la Península Ibérica y aún sigue en uso. El diseño del Santuario del Bom Jesus, con su naturaleza barroca remarcada por la forma zigzagueante de sus escaleras, ha influido muchos otros lugares de Portugal (como Lamego) y el Brasil colonial, como el Santuario de Congonhas. Los peregrinos, al subir las escaleras, encontraban un programa teológico que contrastaba los sentidos del mundo material con las virtudes del espíritu, y al mismo tiempo experimentaban las escenas de la Pasión de Cristo. La culminación de aquel esfuerzo era el templo de Dios, o sea, la iglesia situada en la cima de la colina. La presencia de varias fuentes a lo largo de las escaleras dan idea de la purificación del creyente. La iglesia nueva (construida en 1784-1834 por Carlos Amarante) fue una de las primeras iglesias neoclásicas de Portugal.

Il santuario Bom Jesus do Monte si erge in cima ad una monumentale scalinata barocca a Braga in Portogallo. La scalinata, scolpita nell'austero granito grigio evidenziato dal riverberante biancore dei muri a calce, è l'illustrazione del barocco del nord del paese. Il santuario a cui conduce la scalinata, più austero, venne costruito da Carlos Amarante tra il 1784 e il 1811 in stile neoclassico.

Simbolismo della Via Sacra.

La Via Sacra, che il pellegrino percorreva sulle ginocchia, è formata da un sentiro orlato da cappelle, che corrispondono alle stazioni della via crucis. Prosegue con le scalinate dei cinque sensi e delle Tre Virtù. La Via Sacra rappresenta il percorso spirituale del fedele che deve imparare a dominare i propri sensi ed acquisire le tre virtù cardinali (Fede, Speranza e Carità per guadagnarsi la salvezza.

Elevador do bom Jesus do Monte.

Inaugurata nel 1882, fu la prima funicolare ad essere costruita nella penisola iberica. Si tratta della funicolare più antica del mondo ed utilizza esclusivamente la forza di gravità dell'acqua, grazie a due serbatoi che fungono da contrappeso. Un elegante portico da accesso al sentiero serpeggiante bordato da cappelle che custodiscono ciascuna una scena della Passione illustrata da personaggi di terracotta in grandezza naturale, animati da uno straordinario realismo espressivo. Vicino ad ogni cappella si erge una piccola fontana ornata da motivi mitologici.

Scalinata dei Cinque Sensi.

La scalinata, a doppia rampa, presenta alla base due colonne intorno alle quali è avvolto un serpente; l'acqua fuoriesce dalla bocca del rettile e cola a spirale intorno al suo corpo. Sopra la fontana delle Cinque Piaghe (l'acqua zampilla dai cinque bisanti che appaiono nello stemma del Portogallo, ogni piano di sosta è adorno di fontane allegoriche che illustrano i cinque sensi. A seconda del senso illustrato, l'acqua zampilla dagli occhi (vista), dalle orecchie (udito), dal naso (olfatto) e dalla bocca (gusto). Il tatto è rappresentato da un personaggio che tiene nelle mani un brocca da cui sgorga l'acqua.

The proposed legislation Bill C-51 would clearly allow for the violation of Charter Rights, facilitate spying on innocent Canadians, and create a secret police force with little oversight or accountability.

This bill disproportionately targets indigenous communities, environmental activists, dissidents, and Muslims, many of whom are already subjected to questionable and overreaching powers by security officials. This bill will make it easier and ostensibly lawful for government to continue infringing upon the rights of peaceful people.

C-51 is reckless, irresponsible and ineffective.

We are calling on the government to withdraw the legislation.

We are calling on everyone to do what they can to bring attention to this governments attempt to compromise privacy for false security, while promoting a culture of fear and racism.

According to Daniel, author of the website, Historic Buildings of Connecticut, this house was built for Julius Deming who was a wealthy merchant and is one of Connecticut's finest examples of the Federal style.

"On the east side of North St. (in Litchfield CT) opposite the Tallmadge house, is the *Julis Deming House (6) known as The Lindens, from the trees planted by his daughter Lucretia in 1838. It is the most pretentious house in Litchfield. In the pediment with its Palladian window and the refinement of architectural detail, we see the genius of Wm. Spratt, whom we shall meet again in the Cowles house in Farmington and Champion house in East Haddam. Deming secured his services through Zenas Cowles, who was a business acquaintance and in turn recommended Spratt to his father-in-law, Col. Henry Champion. (The south pediment and the east end are later additions.) The house, completed in 1793, took two years to build. The tremendous stones in the foundation were gotten out by professional stone-splitters; one of them is 22 by 2 feet, and 14 inches thick. Shingles for the roof were hauled by oxen from Pittsfield, Mass. The owner brought fireplace marbles, glass, etc. from England in his own vessels. Julius Deming was born in North Lyme in 1755, and, after service in the Revolution, moved to Litchfield in 1781, where he became its leading merchant. He owned ships trading with England and the West Indies. New Haven was used as a port, and strings of freight wagons, loaded with molasses and other goods, were a familiar sight on the inland road. With Col. Tallmadge and Oliver Wolcott, Jr., Deming organized the Litchfield China Trading Co. One of their ships, the "Trident." made voyages to China for 14 years. Deming and Tallmadge had branch stores in the neighboring towns."

One of 34 woodcut illustrations, each hand-colored, of the coats of arms of the Hochmeister or Grand Masters of the Teutonic Knights, a German Catholic military (and initially hospitaller) order founded in the 12th century. The Teutonic Knights ruled Prussia (the subject of the volume in which these illustrations appear) from the 13th century until 1525 when their Hochmeister Albrecht von Brandenburg-Ansbach converted to Lutheranism, secularized the territory and became the first Duke of Prussia.

The vehicle used for the roadshow is a Ford Transit 100 T300S (Mark 7) based on an ice-cream van body.

Abdalaziz Alhamza, nato a Raqqa nel 1991, è un giornalista e attivista siriano, che oggi vive a Berlino. È fondatore e portavoce del progetto Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently (RBSS), gruppo di citizen journalism fondato dall’esilio in Turchia, che informa sulle violenze compiute da Isis in Siria, grazie alle informazioni passate da cittadini rimasti all’interno della città. Nel gennaio 2016 l’International Business Times ha descritto RBSS come “la più credibile fonte di informazioni dall’interno di Raqqa”.

Alhamza è laureato in biologia e da studente ha organizzato numerose proteste contro il governo siriano. È stato arrestato varie volte dal regime e più volte ha ricevuto minacce per la sua attività da Isis. RBSS ha vinto nel 2015 l’International Press Freedom Award dal Committee to Protect Journalists e il premio del Foreign Policy Global Thinkers Award.

Maccio Capatonda, pseudonimo di Marcello Macchia, è un attore, regista e comico italiano. Ha partecipato ai programmi televisivi Mai dire Lunedì e Mai dire Martedì. Precedentemente aveva fondato a Milano la Shortcut Productions, insieme a Enrico Venti, suo storico amico, anche lui di Chieti. Ha lavorato per AllMusic e lavora stabilmente sul web, affianco all’attività televisiva. Nel 2013 è ideatore, regista e interprete principale della serie televisiva Mario. In un primo tempo si è dedicato (accompagnato dal suo inseparabile gruppo) alla produzione di finti reality televisivi, come il Divano Scomodo e il Gabinetto.

Nel 1985 Arbore coinvolge Nino Frassica nel varietà “Quelli della notte” nei panni di frate Antonino da Scasazza, organizzatore di un improbabile concorso a premi. Seguono “Indietro tutta” dove veste i panni del bravo presentatore e mette in scena una spassosa parodia del tipico conduttore televisivo. Partecipa successivamente a “Fantastico”, “Domenica In”, “Scommettiamo che…?”, “I Cervelloni”, “Acqua calda”, “Colorado Cafè” e “Markette” condotto da Piero Chiambretti. Nel 1999 inizia l’avventura della fiction televisiva “Don Matteo” con Terence Hill, Flavio Insinna e successivamente Simone Montedoro, giunta ormai alla decima serie. Nino interpreta il ruolo del maresciallo dei Carabinieri Nino Cecchini.

Sydney Sibilia, nato a Salerno nel 1981, è un regista, sceneggiatore e produttore cinematografico italiano. Sydney Sibilia inizia a realizzare cortometraggi insieme all’amico Fabio Ferro nella loro natìa Salerno. Nel 2007 si trasferisce a Roma e successivamente realizza un cortometraggio che ottiene numerosi riconoscimenti, Oggi gira così (2010), prodotto dalla Ascent Film e scritto insieme a Valerio Attanasio.

Sempre con Valerio Attanasio, scrive la sceneggiatura della sua opera prima Smetto quando voglio. Il film, prodotto dalla Fandango di Domenico Procacci, dalla Ascent FIlm di Matteo Rovere e da Rai Cinema, viene distribuito nelle sale cinematografiche nel febbraio 2014, riscuotendo un successo sorprendente e ottenendo 12 candidature ai David di Donatello 2014. Nel 2017 è nelle sale il seguito, Smetto quando voglio – Masterclass, in attesa del terzo episodio.

Regista, sceneggiatore e attore. Insieme a Matteo Corradini e Luca Vecchi è il fondatore del collettivo The Pills, nato nell’estate del 2011. Il collettivo è diventato celebre grazie alla web serie omonima che ha debuttato su YouTube nello stesso anno, diventando immediatamente fenomeno del web. Dopo il successo ottenuto anche con la seconda stagione, nel 2014 la serie approda su Italia 1. Nello stesso anno, The Pills sono autori insieme a Matteo Rovere, Luca Ravenna, Sydney Sibilia e Daniele Grassetti della serie tv Zio Gianni in onda su Rai2. Surrounding area

The Heiligenkreuzerhof is located in Vienna in the first district, the address Grashofgasse 3 or Schönlaterngasse 5 points to the it bounding streets. It can be reached on foot, if one follows the Rotenturmstraße townwards the city, at the meat market turns left, at the junction with Köllnerhofgasse turns right and finally a few meters further on the left goes into the Grashofgasse.

The Court itself is now used most of the time as leased parking space for cars or as an exhibition venue for an arts and crafts market and extends longitudinally parallel to the meat market and the Sonnenfelsgasse. Within the building complex two traditional master violin makers, the Bernhard chapel and the Academy of Fine Arts are to be found.

The Schönlaterngasse due to its position until the 17th Century was called "Heiligenkreuzergasse", "At Heiligenkreuzer Court" or "The Gaessel from holy Kreuzerhof". The house to the beautiful lantern, which is characterized by a "beautiful" lamp stemming from the 18th century and can be described as a landmark of this alley and the house "to the basilisk", which is supposed to be the origin of this famous Viennese Sage, are located in this alley.

The Köllnerhofgasse got its present structure by the there located Köllnerhof, a building complex, which, however, only up to 1793 existing, was demolished and rebuilt in the following year in four new buildings. The Court, which yet in the 13th Century was in private hands of several Cologne merchants and both today's baker street as well as the Sonnenfelsgasse including, received its name from those merchants, which after the modifications was transferred to the newly created lane.

The just mentioned Sonnenfelsgasse (formerly "lower Baker Street") formed prior to its inclusion in the Köllnerhof the northern boundary to the market place of the trade suburb before the Ungartor (Hungarian gate) and shows the Hildebrandt House and the former University pendulum house (Universitätspendelhaus).

Parallel to this alley runs the baker street (formerly "upper baker street"), which represented the southern boundary of the aforementioned market place and already by oldest journal entries shows signs for the here domiciled baking craft. The baker street only in the 18th Century by structural changes could achieve direct access to Dominikanerbastei and thus to the nearest city gate, and therefore never reach the significance of the to the south parallel running wool line (Wollzeile).

The Heiligenkreuzerhof to the north limiting meat market (Fleischmarkt) is one of the oldest trading centers and traffic routes in Vienna, what shows an early first mention as "carnifices" in 1220.

Foundation and construction phases

Documentarily the Heiligenkreuzerhof appears for the first time in the year 1242 as the property of a monastery, Felix Czeike the cellars even suspecting to go back to the 12th Century.

The source of the name of the Court derives of its owner, the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz, which was founded in 1133 and is situated in the Wienerwald (Vienna Woods) at Sattelbach. By the donation in 1286 of Duke Albrecht I the monastery got some Freihöfe (Tribunal-independent Courts) in Wiener-Neustadt, Bruch Marchegg (both Lower Austria) and also in Vienna for administration.

The Cistercian monastery in Vienna transmitted area was not limited to the today well-known part of the Heiligenkreuzerhof, but extended further to the south over the Sonnenfelsgasse up to baker street.

The today self-contained Court consisted in its origination of several free individual buildings and was only by its actual creator, the Cistercian abbot Clemens Schäffer, in the years 1659 to 1676 brought in its present unified floor plan.

Another construction phase about a century later (1769/79) was carried out, converting the old Stiftshof through a major addition of another storeys in an apartment building and letting the court preserve its current appearance, yet annotating large-scale renovation works of the houses in 1953, which on a mural at the west flank of the Court are dated.

Art historically the Heiligenkreuzerhof also offers a specialty, since the first engraving academy in Vienna already in the year 1768 in the building was founded in which today the Academy of Applied Arts is located.

In the southeast corner of Heiligenkreuzerhof there is a chapel which is dedicated to Saint Bernard and in the course of the remodelling in the 17th Century also was built by abbot Clemens Schäffer in place of an old chapel and was consecrated by Bishop Count Breuner. By abbot Robert Leeb the chapel in 1730 was brought in its present form and now it serves mainly betuchteren (more well-heeled) families for private religious ceremonies, such as baptisms and weddings.

The altarpiece of this chapel stems from Martino Altomonte, who in the course of the by Robert Leeb started renovations his work finished.

The decorations of this chapel, as the high altar, the figures of saints Leopold and Florian, the tabernacle as well as the left and right side altar are the work of the Venetian artist Giovanni Giuliani.

Parts of buildings and sculptures

If one makes a round tour from west to east, thus, from the entrance of Grashofgasse until the entrance of Schönlaterngasse, through the Heiligenkreuzerhof, it is possible to discover several works of art and architectural features of past centuries.

On the front of the building before the entrance of Grashofgasse a presentation with a number of smaller inscriptions of the Holy Cross Abbey can be seen, which must date from the period around 1953, when the Court after the World War had been extensively renovated.

Passing through the overbuilt gate one now the northern front of the Court can see, which as illustrative material on development of an apartment building starting with the 18th Century to this day well can be used.

If then this front of houses is investigated in some detail, in the uppermost floors one can find storage sites, whose functionality during earlier centuries for the life of many was essential.

Further on can be found a sculpture at ground level on this side of the Court which abbot Clement Schäffer had put up and on which he had immortalized himself.

If one pans the view on the opposite long side, on the one hand, a magnificent garden wall is to see which is decorated with sandstone figures by Giovanni Giuliani, and on the other hand, the Saint Bernard of Clairvaux consecrated Bernhard chapel, which above its portal is provided with three sculptures. The of sandstone manufactured Putti rest, similar to the putti of the garden wall , on the for the Baroque typical curved volutes. Two represent naked boys, the sculpture lying in the center is a representation of Bernard of Clairvaux.

If one goes through the gate, separating the garden wall one reaches today's entrance to the Academy of Applied Arts, above whose entrance the monastery coat of arms can be found, which can be found altogether four times in the yard and in the buildings .

Before one then leaves the Heiligenkreuzerhof through the gate to Schönlaterngasse one is absolutely obliged to take a look upwards beyound the roof of the Bernhard chapel, where the associated steeple extends, which an archiepiscopal cross adorns, this one characterized by a double crossbar, an indication to the strong unity of this court with the Abbey of Heiligenkreuz.

Esse pretinho holo é bem pigmentado. 2 camadas estava bem legal, mas eu fiz caca em algumas unhas, e passei a terceira pra igualar. O brilho é ótimo, mas a secagem é lenta lenta. Mesmo assim, não passei top coat, pq a holografia diminui. O danado deu bolinhas, acreditam? Discretas, mas elas apareceram. Depois vou dar um up pra usar o bonito por mais alguns dias. Não suporto essas malditas cataporas! :(
