This is homeworld inspired ship used for short range patrol and interceptions. It is a departure front my M:tron inspired ship.
It's my first ship to use a front facing SNOT technique. My goal is to gradually expand this ship into a full attack corvette from homeworld. I'm proud of this color scheme, I will reserve my old dark grey and dark red for the next versions. This is also my best use so far of those wheel hubs.
I decided to use the mini librarie drawer to create a de-stressing kit for a gal pal during the holidays. I love it when the packaging for a gift is a gift in itself and I used this concept in creating the drawer. I altered the front of the drawer with flocked Carolina damask paper and added the faceted button with hot glue to the knob. I then filled the compartments with organic black cherry tea, a handtowel tied with 7 Gypsies ribbon and embellished with a tag made from Savannah paper and a 7G sapphire dangle, plus a button embellished with paper tape. I also added a bar of luxury honey almond soap and lotion, and a holiday pick. The idea is that the recipient can remove the gifts and then set the drawer on a vanity table or in the bathroom to hold vintage glasses filled with cotton swabs, cotton balls, lipsticks and makeup or compacts/mini spritzers or perfume bottles.

We use a lot of coriander (cilantro) in the kitchen. I plant it in pretty much constantly in the garden and curse just as often as the plants bolt just as almost immediately.
Then the bugs appear and I smile.
The above plants are now 5 feet tall and covered with masses of insects of all sorts. Most enjoyable are probably the scores of lady beetles. Below are six species I photographed in a matter of minutes today at lunch. There were others that refused to pose.

For this type of painting (popular social genre) Skutecký had to face criticism. In 1911 he expressed his position and situation as follows:
“From your point of view you are quite right when you tell me that whoever is able to do serious compositions, should not do them shallowly, or at least lightly. But my position is severely limited by circumstances which cannot be changed. You know that the artist creates valuable things only when he let himself be led by his conviction. I have to earn the money! So the beliefs come off badly! I won´t get money from people if I don´t accomodate them – not everyone wants big, serious things. But the money is needed. Or perhaps I should involve my loved ones in the fight for my beliefs? Or should I let them suffer and live in need because of them? As an honest man I cannot demand this. Therefore, I adapt to circumstances, and paint, although not kitsch – but easier things, understandable for everyone and cheaper. Indeed, even such a picture – and this is my only consolation – can be a work of art if it is well painted.“

Another composite of my elephant friends completed in Photoshop using the "vanishing habitat" theme.
Used YONGNUO Manual Flash YN-560II, off-camera bounce, to the left, with diffused cover on flash. 24mm range at 1/128 power, and Cowboy Studio triggers.
I used Lorraine's Puppy Love Tutorial to make these puppies! She is such a wonderful teacher, the tutorial is excellent and worth every penny!

Garrison Woods was completed in 2004, and has since become one of Calgary’s most desirable neighbourhoods.

Journée du Patrimoine , en France depuis 1984
Ces journées sont un moment privilégié permettant aux Français de visiter leur patrimoine national, monuments, églises, théâtres, châteaux, mais aussi des demeures privées, des banques, des tribunaux, des préfectures, palais de justice, hôtels de ville, chambres de commerce, etc., toutes sortes de bâtiments qui, habituellement, sont fermés au public ou peu fréquentés par lui.
Elles sont organisées sous l'égide du Ministre de la Culture par la Direction du patrimoine culturel et par les différentes directions régionales des affaires culturelles.
Contrairement à une idée très répandue, les ouvertures ne sont pas obligatoirement gratuites.
La gratuité est presque systématique dans les monuments publics dépendant de l'État et les musées ayant le label Musée de France, en ce qui concerne les domaines privés ou ceux qui dépendent de collectivités locales ou d'établissements publics, les tarifs sont laissés à l'appréciation du propriétaire du lieu.
Ces journées du patrimoine sont lancées chaque année le troisième week-end du mois de septembre.
Les monuments les plus visités sont ceux de la capitale et en particulier tous les lieux officiels du gouvernement (palais de l'Élysée, ministères, palais Bourbon, palais du Luxembourg), mais des sites scientifiques et industriels font également découvrir leurs secrets.
Les villes de province ne sont pas en reste pour présenter au public leur patrimoine culturel, industriel, architectural et historique ayant participé à l'histoire de la commune. De plus en plus de propriétaires privés se lancent dans cette opération pour présenter leur patrimoine.
En 1992, Jack Lang redevient ministre de la Culture, la Journée portes ouvertes dans les monuments historiques passe de un à deux jours, change de nom et devient les Journées nationales du patrimoine.

During a circumnavigation of a mesa next to Negro Bill Canyon I encountered this sandstone boulder. Upon seeing the aura antennae atop the rock, I realized that it was a psychic transmitter. Feeling a bit tired from my wanderings among the bedrock, bushes, and blaring Sun, I paused to take advantage of this wondrous facility.
Desiring to give my motivation a boost, I proceeded to make body contact with the rock. By maintaining the pictured posture for 7.1 hours without moving, I reached a Higher Plane of Existence. The result is that I began to understand why the ingredients of shampoo have such weird names. Infused with this new awareness, my spirit was uplifted and I continued my exploration with renewed enthusiasm.
Joe Tripod, who helped me make this picture, isn't psychic but he meditates in stillness to hold my camera.
Geotagging is approximate, as psychic transmitters play havoc with Internet mapping routines and GPS devices.
From above and across the canyon, one has a different view of this boulder.

Taking the Photo- A quick guide for using your camera.
Ok, you got your gear, your at the venue, and your ready to shoot.. What now? Using you camera correctly is something that takes patience and lots of practice. But for the beginners, the basic camera features and terminology will help you grow into a photo selling photographer. Get out your camera manual, learn what all the buttons, wheels, and menus do.
1)Shutter Speed: i.e. 1\250, 1/4000: This controls how long your shutter stays open. To stop action and bring down brightness, you want a faster shutter. For low light and to capture motion, you want a slower shutter. Every show is different, but anything faster that 1\250 will probably be needed to get good sharp pictures.
Aperture: i.e. F1.8, F22 - This controls the Iris of the lens. A smaller number has a bigger aperture, so you can let in more light to have a faster shutter. The larger the aperture, the more you have to concentrate of getting proper focus. A 1.8 aperture will blur the background considerably, and you will need to make sure you focus on the proper part of the person you are photographing. At this aperture, if you focus on his guitar, his face may be out of focus.
2) ISO: This refers to the sensitivity of your camera. A lower ISO will give you less noise and a cleaner image, but will force you to use slower shutter speeds. If its real dark, you will need to kick up your ISO to get the shutter speed you need to stop the action and minimize movement blur.
3)Camera Menu: Manual Mode, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority - Manual means you set the shutter and aperture manually and the camera does not compensate automatically for changes in light. This is recommended for Concert Photography, but is difficult to get good where you can take fast pictures. Shutter Priority is easier because you can set the camera at your preferred shutter speed, like 1/400, and start snapping away. The camera will automatically adjust the aperture to compensate for changes in light. For beginners, use this until you are comfortable shooting in full manual where you can have complete artistic Control. Higher end cameras have dual wheels on the camera to control Shutter and Aperture independent of each other, making manual mode much easier and faster.
4)Quality: JPEG/TIFF/RAW | NEF Shooting in RAW (NEF for NIKON) is highly recommended for Concert Photographers. JPEG photos are processed by the camera from data directly off the sensor. You choose the cameras settings, and the camera takes the RAW data off the sensor, applies your settings, and then removes any unseen date, and creates a JPEG. The RAW or NEF file, is taken directly off the sensor and most data is kept from the photography. This gives you the flexibility to bring back lost data from the original shot. Different from popular belief, shooting in RAW does not take the place of making a proper shot, it just gives you a little more flexibility in your editing process. If you were a perfect photographer, then shooting in JPEG would be quick and easy with little to no editing. This however, is usually not the case for beginner photographers. Most professional photographers shoot in RAW for the flexibility. If you didnt need RAW, then you might as well shoot film for your concerts.
5) Autofocus - Read your owners manual and practice with the different types of auto focus that your camera utilizes.. This is very important, as most cameras have a setting where the camera tracks movement and continually refocuses based on you and your objects movement. This may hinder you sometimes when composing a shot, so make sure you know the different focus features of your camera, and how to change them at a moments notice.

Today I decided to experiment with my Voigtländer 15mm lens and as a result I discovered a spot on my sensor and I have been unable to remove it … I can’t even physically see it. I have examined some of my earlier photographs and have discovered that the spot has been there for months.
To be honest I am finding it difficult to use this lens, especially wide-open, because it is a manual focus lens. Some photographs have a lot of distortion especially when the camera is angled.
The Voigtländer 15mm 4.5 Super Wide Heliar E aspherical III is the first native E-Mount lens by Voigtlander. There are a few more on the way.
The Argentinian navy tall ship ARA Libertad (Q-2) arrived into Dublin port for the August bank holiday weekend. She is docked at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay and will be open to the public for visits until late Sunday.

I used one of Erin's new Toggle clasps by separating the two parts into 2 focals. The toggle "disc" sits at the right hand side- and hooks into a Leather cord loop. The Toggle ring sits at the left side and acts as a focal connector.
