No sooner did the Disney "A Christmas Carol" train leave Old Sacramento, than a train of Union Pacific business cars took its place. UP 4908 (EMD SD70M) is on the point.
In some of the last moments of fall daylight, UP 3985 takes the Twin City Limited Tour train north. This shot was taken just after the train ran a reverse movement out of the UP's South Saint Paul Yard. The train will soon cross over the Mississippi River on the Hoffman Swing Bridge and head for downtown Saint Paul. It will spend the weekend on display there and would depart Tuesday, September 30, 2008. This shot was taken standing in the back of my truck for elevation.

Waiting to hear back from a few people, so I decided when I got home from work to finally get around to finishing my girl up!
She's been in pieces for the entire week due to me working on her tattoos (one of which you can see on her shoulder) and the others are currently hidden by her shirt. I'll post separate pictures of them some day soon. :D
Anyway, I'm incredibly happy with this one! Her eyebrows/lashes look a lot better than the last, I think. >3<
Throwing us for a loop, the train decided to pull south and tie up at the old freight house, as opposed to taking the Omaha main towards Neff. Here, she's seen pulling out of the Fairfax district past Central Ave.
When two trains become one with mid-train helpers. It was rare to see one company help the other up the hill, but they seem good for it. Hope they evacuated the hack.

July 18, 2013;
Today I woke up at 8:30 and replied to a comment on a photo I had on my Facebook and then I went back to sleep and slept again until 10:30.
I literally laid in bed until 12 when Mom got home for her lunch break. Then we went and checked on my aunt and uncle's cat since they are on vacation. Then by the time we go that done it was basically time for her to go back to work. I made that my time to make myself go to the grocery store to get the rest of what was needed for dinner tonight.
After going to the grocery store I stopped at Subway and got an Italian B.M.T. on Honey Oat bread, even though I ate that exact same thing (different bread) last night for dinner. I seriously have a problem!
I didn't do too much after I got home, then at 4:15 I started dinner. We had sticky chicken which consists of your choice of chicken (we like to use boneless skinless chicken breasts) with russian salad dressing, a package of onion soup mix and a cup of apricot preserves. Then it cooks at 400 degrees for an hour. We served it over wild rice with a salad on the side, it was really good!
I decided to go lay on my bed after dinner because I was really full and I ended up sleeping for about 25-30 minutes before waking up and thinking that I needed to take a picture for the day.
I then remembered the bird's nest that I photographed earlier on in this 365 and wondered if there perhaps might be any eggs left in it even after they hatched. Sure enough there was one single on in there! It was the cutest little egg so small i just couldn't resist taking a picture of it!
That was my complete day though, I really am not that exciting.

Us on our nice morning hike in the foothills. I was with my cuzz on another one of our outings. This time, we went to check out The Stanford Dish in Stanford, CA. This was our first time hiking at this location. We started fairly early since the weather was to get hot during the afternoon. The views were pretty nice despite the area mostly tree-free and lack shade. Nonetheless, it was a nice cardio sesh. After our hike, we went to eat our lunch at Starbird Chicken along W El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, CA. ‘Til next time… (Friday morning, June 18, 2021)
*A bit about this hiking area: If you live in the Palo Alto area and are looking for a place to hike or run, The Dish is a close and great way to get that exercise. Located on the corner of Stanford Ave and Junipero Serra, the Stanford Dish Loop Hiking Trail should be easy to access. For parking, you’ll find parking along Stanford Avenue or the elementary school lot further down the street. The Dish is entirely paved, so don't think that you'll have to bring your hiking shoes. Along this 3.3-mile stretch, there pretty much isn't any shade, so don't forget a hat and some sunscreen because the afternoon heat up here is brutal. In addition, you might want to bring water as well. With regards to views, it's actually not too bad. You get a nice little view of the Stanford campus, Palo Alto and I guess of Highway 280 as well. For those coming here to hike/walk, the difficulty level is pretty easy. Aside from a handful of higher inclined parts, it's a breeze. What better way to get some cardio in, than to go for a nature hike?
