My sister Abigail Grace, 3, close up. Taken on Thanksgiving. I used a low fstop when I took the photo, but I'm still suprised at how soft the edges came out. It almost looks like I used a lensbaby or something. Alas, I did not. November 2005

A Make-Up Cake for Ella - a lovely little girl who was 12 at the weekend and had a pamper party. All her girlfriend guests did a pyjama catwalk in the hall....!!

Thanks to a heads up from Bill Meyer (basicbill) and his daily early morning email,

The Eastbound #272 on the Canadian Pacific Chicago Subdivision left Savanna, Illinois headed out with work at Byron and Davis Junction. Already rare for our area being led by Soo Line SD60 #6032, followed by Soo #6051, IC&E #4205, then most importantly trailing was Iowa Pacific's E8 #518 this was indeed an awesome sight to see. From what I understand this is former Metra/CNW E8 which now has a fresh coat of Illinois Central colors and Iowa Pacific lettering, which was restored at National Railway Equipment at Silvis.
A sheet of paper taped to the window had SLRG reporting marks --Iowa Pacific's San Luis & Rio Grande in Colorado.
This was for a model shoot. She wanted pin up style photos. This was one of the more modest of the shots.

Re edit and black and white conversion. Version (3) I have a canvas print of another version minus some of the additional contrast in the sky.. I do remember the sun was very intense that day. I was standing under an umbrella for shade. Fun stuff!
