The Creemore Children's Dress Up Fountain, donated to the Village of Creemore, Ontario by the sculpter, Ralph Hicks. This wonderful work of art is located just of Mill Street between the Horticultural Society Garden and the Station on the Green. I particularly wanted to get some night shots as I thought the lighting added something special to the joyous characters presented by the sculpter. I thought they had the water running at night with lights in the base, but without the water, I was able to get a different perspective on the figures and not risk getting the camera drenched.

Vancouver's English Bay was on the receiving end of some pretty intense wind today. The kite boarders off of Ambleside beach must have had a blast. I needed to stand behind a totem pole for shelter otherwise I kept getting blown over.

Located in the UP of Michigan, 11mi. east of Bruce Crossing& Rt 45, on Rt 28. This beautiful waterfalls is 50' fed by the Middle Branch of the Ontonagon River. A must see for anyone visiting this amazing country of the UP. The falls is simple to find and a State Park named for the Falls, has a nice parking area,restrooms,picnic tables,and boadwalk from which you can over look the Falls. In dry conditions, I recommend the hike down to the river to view the Falls from this perspective. Go slow & watch your step. Agate Falls is just one of 35 Falls listed in Ontonagon County, 199 named falls are listed in the UP,over 90 named falls in the Porcupine Mts. State Park.
Thanks to some Flickr friends that gave some important information to plan this trip. It was one of the most rewarding adventures I have ever taken. The massive forests of hardwood & Hemlock, 60,000 acres of which is old-growth and the last of such remaining in the Midwest, the Falls,wildlife,and excellent lodging at the Rocky Shores vacation home, with 200' of Lake Superior shoreline, just 1/2mi east from the Porcupine Mts. Still relying on the macro extension tubes to get me out of a hole on day 15 of my 365 project. Picture taken using a Nifty Fifty Canon EF50mm F1.8 II with cheapo manual extension tubes a spare bit of Black acrylic that I had lying around, oh and the shiny contents of my back pocket, minus the fluff.
The full latin inscription on this version of the pound coin reads "Decus Et Tutamen" which translated means "An ornament and a safeguard". Other pound coin designs have different inscriptions.
The Stick Up Kids really define the kind of art Creative Tempest grew up on, murals with tags where the names are almost unreadable, which exist just as an excuse to paint bold lines, shapes and colors in places where everyone would see, where you weren’t allowed. It is immediately clear in these paintings that these artists are not simply after name recognition, but rebellion against a society that would build a blank canvas and demand it never be painted.
