I like the simplicity of eggs. They also make great abstract art whether you fry them or scramble them. I use just a touch of oil to canola oil to cook mine . A very healthy food as long as stored properly. Eggs are a good source of low-cost high-quality protein, providing 6.3 grams of protein (13% of the daily value for protein) in one egg for a caloric cost of only 68 calories. They help with our supply of amino acids.

Eggs are high in cholesterol, and health experts in the past counseled people to therefore avoid this food. (All of the cholesterol in the egg is in the yolk.) However, nutrition experts have now determined people on a low-fat diet can eat three or four eggs a week without measurable changes in their blood cholesterol levels. Make sure you cook them throughly to get rid of any potential bacteria.
Feeling gloomy bring a little sunshine and color into your kitchen and crack an egg, maybe try an omeletter with some chopped tomatoes, chives, mushrooms and a dash of salt and pepper.

Union Pacific Railroad GP40 640 at Denver, Colorado on March 13, 1983, Kodachrome by Jim Altman, Chuck Zeiler collection. Although this locomotive left EMD's plant painted as Rock Island 4709, it was owned by the UP and leased to the Rock. When the Rock shut down on March 31, 1980, all but nine of the original 60 GP40's leased were returned to the UP.
UP Centennial 6936 sits at Illinois Railway Museum in Union for IRM's 60th anniversary. Union Pacific brought in the "Centennial" DDA40X, #6936 for display during Labor Day weekend. My dad and I spent an entire day, and into the night for night photos of several Union Pacific locomotives.

This photo was taken from a KIEV-60 medium format film camera with a МС BEГA-26B 2.8/120mm lens using Rollei CN 200 Film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.
Just a few lingering Hummers are around - hopefully a few more will show up after the storm passes tomorrow. I got up early (really!) to get a few shots in. I decided to try for an "extra" close shot. I didn't want to use the macro and risk scaring them.
I used a 300mm lens with a 2X TC and about 56mm of extension tubes for this shot. Starting with decent light which deteriorated with each thing I added to the lens left me with 1/60th of a second at f/13 even at ISO 640 from a distance of about 2 meters. This bird is in flight and you can see all the little blurry wing action. No crop.
