Taken about 1900???
I think the man is my Great Grandfather.
He had 10 sons and One daughter.
Before becoming head-gamekeeper at Rhaggat he had been a Sergeant Major in a Scottish Regiment.
I was told he was something of a tyrant with his sons and underkeepers.
Could the younger women be his daughter, the child a grand-daughter and the older woman his wife?
The hedge has been trimmed. There is a railed, possibly metal, fence. Oxeye Daisy type flowers look cultivated.
The Ladies don't seem to have been anticipating having their photo taken, upturned collar and casual hair.
Taken by one of the gentry from Rhagatt Hall??
This reminds me of the 'Pet Cemetery in Rhagatt garden.
I would like to know more about this photo, it is well done, I suspect there are better copies somewhere 'out there'.

This cemetery lay in a park near the village of Brakel, Germany. A sign informed us that these soldiers all died in an action the last month of W. W. II.
1945 was my birth year. I visited Germany for the first time at the age of 20, the age of the solder in the grave behind. I found the experience saddening and poignant. There is such a bitter irony bound up in this.
This Photo is belong to the set named " UNKNOWN " . This set contains the portrait of the photo of the people whom I don;t know but, try to find their feelings through my camera.
Lokuron Lohia (age unknown) and her baby girl (2 months old) live in Paringa payem. Her husband is at the cattle camp looking after their cow. 19 of their cows were raided and now only one remains. Her gardens have dried up and she now relies on aid to feed her children. The food she receives today will last 2-3 days, as she will share her ration with family and relatives.
Prolonged conflict in South Sudan, combined with two years of drought, have led to total crop failures and high food prices in Eastern Equatoria. Families are struggling to get by and experiencing hunger at unprecedented levels.
