Of course here he isnt too sure of me. I cant blame him. But I already knew I was in love with him...how can one not be with that face and lovely underbite.
The baby water buffalos are so cute! this one had a funny little underbite. Unlike the cows though, water buffalo moms won't let you get near their babies (and who's going to argue with those horns!)

Eels have such weird underbites and amazing musculature, they're one of my favorite things to draw.

John Parker is our beloved three-year old rescue. Consensus is he's a Schnoodle. Certainly part Poodle. One can see the Schnauzer in him... but it's hard to ignore that Shih Tzu underbite.... Hard to say definitively what mix he is, but we can tell you without any doubt that he's 100% made of love.
As if it wasn't enough to simply see the empirical evidence, or to believe us when we tell you "He's the cutest dog in SOMA, paws down!" we can offer the testimonials of countless people on the street between our doorstep and the 4th & King Caltrain station who stop us regularly to coo at the little guy, and compliment his appearance and his easy-going demeanor. He toddles around town with us with a song is his doggie heart that sings to strangers on the street. We watched in amazement as he's turned bad afternoons into good ones for people outside of CBS Interactive. More than once just looking into his big, brown eyes has quieted down a frat boy outside of 21st Amendment.
His likes:
• Sitting in our window at 199 New Montgomery, watching the AAU students across the street sullenly smoking bummed cigarettes.
• The (now under vicious backhoe attack) patches of grass at the 24-Hour Fitness plaza on 2nd Street.
• Stuffed (toy) ducks.

• Doorbells.
• Off-leash dogs in South Park.
• Alto saxophones.
• Rachel on "Big Brother."

"MoMo" 1992 - 2005
Show Me Mo, "MoMo", came from a St. Joseph, Missouri pet store. His breeder wanted a home for him, but because he had an underbite and was imperfect as far as dachshund show standards, she sent him to a pet store to be sold.
Talk about an alpha male... he ruled the house!

(This is Angel, the sweetest boxer mix girl I've ever met. This poor girl was hit in the face by someone with a baseball bat, causing her jaw to break. It was never set properly and it healed like this, leaving her with a severe underbite. Breaks my heart to think what she has endured, and amazes me that she can still trust humans.)
Today I went again to Animal Compassion Network's adoption event at our local PetSmart. I screened families who wanted to adopt dogs, and managed to snap a few photos of the dogs looking for new homes. Again, beautiful dogs...hard to understand how they found themselves without homes.
Seriously.
This girl was up for adoption at Pugapalooza. Sadly I do not remember her name. I do know that she got adopted though! I went to talk to the woman who adopted her and she was very rude and practically ignored me. It was pretty shitty and I kinda felt bad for this pug girl. Hopefully the woman is nicer to her than she is to humans.
Annie is one of our newest moms. She had a litter of puppies consisting of popular adopted puppies Speck, Dot and Double Dot.
Annie has the most adorable underbite and really likes individual attention from humans.
Annie is current on her boosters, already spayed and microchipped. She has also had her rabies vaccine. Annie's adoption fee is $50.

— Meet ARMANDO! —
ARMANDO is a 4-year old male, neutered, 14-pound Chihuahua/Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher mix. He was rescued from the Redlands Animal Shelter after being picked up as a stray. He has a short, easy to care for coat, a unique pink stripe on his nose, and the cutest little underbite! These photos don't do this cutie justice.
This darling little boy is very shy and must to be adopted by a family who will continue to socialize him slowly. He is timid around strangers, especially men, but warms up to everyone with time. Once he gets to know you, he'll be your loyal velcro buddy for sure.
ARMANDO is crate trained, walks okay on a leash, rides well in the car, and is working on his house training skills. He gets along well with other small dogs and gentle children over the age of 8. He will make a perfect addition to one very lucky family.
