He is totaly blind ( when I first got him from the rescue center, his right eye was literally bulging out and I called him "cyborg dog") You can see his underbite a little in this pic too

MIA IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!

Haute Dog Howl'oween Photo by Lydia Marcus

Photographed October 26, 2008 in Long Beach, CA

i loved this little girl - she is available for adoption. Her name is Mia and she really tugged at my heart on Sunday and got under my skin. I'm not looking to adopt another dog - Lucy The Boxador as an only child is enough for me - but Mia was just so sweet and memorable and I really wanted to give her a shout out so she has a higher possibility of being adopted. When I walked over to the little enclosure she was in with three other dogs, the other dogs were all snoozing but Mia immediately stood on her hind legs to get up closer to me and was ready to get my attention and affection. But at the same time, she was completely calm/submissive about it - a really great trait for any dog - just ask Cesar Millan. She definitely is a dog of the ugly/cute variety and she just had such a wonderful disposition and personality and really deserves a forever home.

info about Mia from critters rescue:

"Mia came from a high kill shelter and her sweet demeanor kept her alive long after her due date. She loves to cuddle and likes to be held like a baby, which she really is. She is crate trained and house broken and knows all her house manners. She came with fingernail polish on one toe so she was used to being pampered. The cute face, with the very loving eyes and obvious underbite will make you smile every time you look at her. Mia is a little timid in new situations, but quickly begins to feel more comfortable and then her loving personality comes out & she grabs your heart. She would be a great family member and gets along with other dogs, people and older children. Be prepared to want to hold her the first time you see her! She will stretch up so she can reach your arms. Who wouldn't want to love this sweetie? If you are interested in meeting this sweetheart, please email Alma@CrittersRescue.com www.CrittersRescueOnline.org"

If you end up adopting Mia, please let me know, I'd love to hear that she got a home of her own. She really caught a piece of my heart in just a few minutes.

Hi everyone! My name is Marjorie! Don't let the serious face fool you, I am a happy girl with a friendly, loving personality. I am an absolute delight and a couch potato in the making. I am about 4 years old and I weigh 45 lbs. I love taking walks and playing in the yard. When playtime is over, I am perfectly content to lounge and spend time with my people. I love being petted and scratched. I have the best underbite - so much personality that I make people smile all the time. When it's time for cuddles, I will lean in and melt into you for affection and a well-deserved belly rub. I just love to love. I also like to roll in the grass, meet new humans and wag my tail so hard that it hits me in the belly. I like treats a lot - any kind, any time, any place. I will sit on command like a good girl. I will chase a ball, tag it with my nose, then it's your job to go get it; afterall, you're the one who threw it. I walk pretty well on a leash -- I have places to go and friends to meet. I am very interested in playing with other dogs. I haven't met a "cat" yet, but if you have cats, I know a couple hoomans that would temperament test me. Come on people, help a girl out and get me a home! Please and thank you, because I am polite as can be. Please give me a chance to become part of your family! Adoption fee: $75. Adopt a pair: $115. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, 60 days of free pet insurance and microchip. Apply online at www.pawsforliferescue.org

She's got an underbite. It is getting fixed. The spacers are the first step.

— Meet ARMANDO! —

ARMANDO is a 4-year old male, neutered, 14-pound Chihuahua/Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher mix. He was rescued from the Redlands Animal Shelter after being picked up as a stray. He has a short, easy to care for coat, a unique pink stripe on his nose, and the cutest little underbite! These photos don't do this cutie justice.

This darling little boy is very shy and must to be adopted by a family who will continue to socialize him slowly. He is timid around strangers, especially men, but warms up to everyone with time. Once he gets to know you, he'll be your loyal velcro buddy for sure.

ARMANDO is crate trained, walks okay on a leash, rides well in the car, and is working on his house training skills. He gets along well with other small dogs and gentle children over the age of 8. He will make a perfect addition to one very lucky family.

Could it be with you?

ARMANDO is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and micro chipped. Come meet ARMANDO and I guarantee that you'll fall in love with this sweetheart.

Dental braces treatment is a common orthodontic procedure that is used to correct misaligned teeth and improve the overall appearance of the smile. Braces consist of small brackets that are attached to each tooth and a wire that connects them. Over time, the wire is tightened, which gradually shifts the teeth into the desired position. Braces are typically used to correct issues such as crowded or crooked teeth, overbites, underbites, and gaps between teeth. The treatment usually lasts between 1-3 years, depending on the severity of the case, and requires regular visits to the orthodontist for adjustments. dentalsquare.in/

Here's a shot of Turkish, doing his best to pretend I'm not inches from his face giggling at his massive overbite. Actually, the vet called it a congenital underbite. Ask Turk to give you a smile and you'd swear he's doing his best killer squirrel impression. The reality of it is that after 4 years on a race track and what appears to have been little to no dental care, he's lucky he has any teeth left at all. We love his smile even if it is the goofiest smile around.

Today I head up to Brooklyn in hopes of securing a place to live while Stacy does her clinical rotations at the Lutheran Medical Center. With any luck, I'll find something on Saturday and spend the next 4 days wandering the city with my camera. Probably not, regardless, wish me luck.

I didn't do much today, hung around and read with the pup for a while and watched some hockey.

The Habs play Buffalo tomorrow night, they're very close to clinching a playoff spot. It has been 2 years since the Habs played a Stanley Cup Playoff game, it has been a long time coming for us Habs fans.

It's like those 80s photos where everyone jumps for the picture. Duckface, Prettyboy, Flying Ace, Wacky Wiggler, Underbite Wonderbite, and Invisible Steve.
