I now have many photos of people on this bridge. Semi-silhouettes of boys playing, people riding horses, friends walking and talking. Matter of fact, I had one of them printed on my business card.

Each image is unique. I'm glad to be able to return to that bridge, now, to continue making images.

I was traveling yesterday, passing near a park I used to visit often. I decided to check out a covered bridge where I would hang out, photograph horses, and look for frogs.

Tyler State Park, Northampton, Pennsylvania

This is an old picture I just rediscovered in my files!

This couple was actually skipping stones. I snapped this photo when they'd paused for a moment.

Yesterday, my wife and I went to the park to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Much to our delight, so did many equestrians!

Once or twice a year, I hike a nature trail in a state park, just to read the graffiti on a small bridge. Doodle Bridge, as I have dubbed it, doesn't bear crude sketches and profanity. Well, maybe some. Most of its graffiti is poetry, song lyrics, and philosophy. I believe the ones with the markers are college students, expressing thoughts and feelings that touch them deeply.

I've posted many messages from Doodle Bridge. I want to preserve them before the bridge is covered, once again, with a fresh coat of paint, and the students need to start again.

Today, I made my pilgrimage and took many photos. I'll post them over the next few days, as I edit them. When I'm finished, I'll post another shot of the bridge itself, to bookend the messages on my photostream.

I half expected wood elves to appear at any moment.

looking forward to coming back to this park in the spring

Somehow, it helps me when I simply watch scenes like this.

As an equestrian crosses the stream, she watches the kayaks coming toward her.

Some people in our area are already decorating their houses and yards for Halloween. But, it's still summer! Each year, I claim that fact, right down to the final minutes.

Today was a beautiful summer day!

Not really.....they just looked that way!

Simon says "look this way!"

He's such a good boy. He doesn't like when I ask him to stay, but he does it for as long as I want.

Meanwhile, back on Doodle Bridge . . .

Simple, clear, direct. This photo is similar to the owner's modifications.

During the three years I've lived in this area, I've loved taking silhouettes inside the covered bridge. I've even had notecards made with images like this one. I'm not tired of taking them!

This girl's pony tail was flying as she rode through.

This painted turtle was engaged in some interesting behavior. We found her on land, near the water, but not swimming or sunning on a log. It had not rained, but a small area of the ground behind her was wet. And, she was pushing the moist earth with her back feet.

We surmised that she may have just finished laying eggs. After a brief photo session, we left her, and her business, undisturbed.

I haven’t been to the park in a very long time. We got an elliptical machine and I have been using that. But, today the weather was beautiful and I heard the park calling my name....💜

I stepped over a small hill and took this young buck by surprise as he grazed. He didn't seem too upset as he turned and walked into the woods. Just playing it safe.

It was beautiful today....even the horses thought so

A few shots I took of Nalani and Sarina (don't ask me which is which!), at "Crafts in the Meadow." These girls are twins who play a variety of instruments and sing with a lot of energy. They're on Facebook, and also have a Website, nalanisarina.com.
