I have previously posted this photo of Two Jack Lake near Banff, Canada, but have reprocessed it.

The two towers of the Marktkirche protestant church in Wiesbaden, Germany and a flying plane.

I haven't been anywhere special this week and quickly snapped this as I was walking Tasku this morning. Processed it with Nik Silver Efex, Ilford Delta film filter.

We just returned from a delightful stay in the lovely eastern part of the Netherlands.

Since December 2017 the train service there is operated by Blauwnet (belonging to the French Keolis group) - before that, it was handled by the Dutch Railways (NS). The change was a result of the decentralization/privatization of railway lines through public tenders.

This is number 958 of the Minimalism / explict Graphism album and 106 of Train travel fascination.

With two meters of high aspect ratio wingspan, a laysan albatross glides across the tropical Pacific. Mōlī (Phoebastria immutabilis) spend many solitary months and thousands of nomadic miles at sea only returning to land to breed.

It was evening and, in the dappled light, I saw these two spot-billed pelicans (pelecanus philippensis) far out in a lake, in Bundala National Park, Sri Lanka. They had obviously found a sandbank or rocky area in very shallow water and were standing companionably side by side.
