Two fawns came today for a drink from the pond, I watched them in the woods playing for several minutes before I saw their mother, who summoned them back to her.
October 2, 2008: Gary (hat) and I at Snoqualmie Pass at the start of our trip to Utah.
Note the facial expressions: I was in a serious mood, looking forward to the opportunity to seek Enlightenment through union with Moabian sandstone. Gary was seeking Enlightenment from a coffee cup.
I was a bit embarrassed to appear in a photo with Gary, as he neglected to wear the most important part of his wardrobe during this trip. Joe Tripod, whose valuable support faclitated this documentation effort, shared my concern.

An "iteration of an accumulative project for Maine-based artist Rollin Leonard." So says the Space Gallery in Portland, Maine, of this "modular and flexible" work, which will be "subtly rearranged over the course of time, slowly scrambling the forms."
But very different from each other. Sorry it's a bit blurry, very cloudy and rainy today. Not much light.
Los Angeles, CA – This building is called “Two California Plaza” located in the Bunker Hill District. It is 229 meters high and was part of a three skyscraper project that never finished. Only two of the originally planned three buildings stand. Los Angeles is so spread out it’s difficult to get a perspective of a skyline. There seems to be very little continuity when it comes to the architecture in downtown LA, but then again if you are familiar with the diversity of the city it really does make sense.
Spotted these two old cruisers. The blue ladies frame had no name badge so don't know who made it. But the lime green one is a Schwinn-built B.F. Goodrich. From what I remember reading Schwinn built for them up until about the mid-50's. The Goodrich also has caliper brakes and a Sturmey-Archer hub. Methinks the brakes are a more recent addition, though I know Schwinn did use S-A hubs back in that era, but mostly on their "lightweight" bikes.

Photographed these two flowers while visiting the Marie Selby Gardens in Sarasota, FL. I was struck by the contrast of the rock behind the flowers...
New Fabric! Anna Maria Horner's "Garden Party: Social Climber" in gold and Michael Miller's "Quarter Dot" in gray. I am in love with these two fabrics together. It may not make sense, but I think they're a perfect match!
